help, I can't control my lucid dreams

so, I had my third lucid dream last night, which is great. However, I've been having trouble with them. I become lucid, and I go to do something (like make something appear or go through a mirror) and I can't. The dream quickly descends back into being just a regular dream again. I think it may have...

Re: We're kickstarting a lucid dreaming mask!

This looks fantastic. I noticed that you guys have already gotten well past your goal on kickstarter, so I hope to be able to buy one in the near future. I do have one question, though: how flexible is the mask? Your video doesn't really show anyone actually wearing it, and for some reason it looks ...

so very close

so, i had my first lucid dream, sort of. I had a false awakening, and did a reality check, which showed that i had too many fingers. I realized I was dreaming, and even managed to change the channels of the TV that was on behind my head. However, I was very tired and afraid that I'd wake up if I mov...

Re: new(ish) to lucid dreaming, beginning to lose hope

Hello, everyone. First, let me say how glad I am to find a lucid dreaming forum that's actually active. forums i've found before haven't been posted to since like 2008. I have a problem: I've been trying to learn lucid dreaming for quite some time now, on and off for probably more than a year. I'm ...

simple question about SP

my question is this: what exactly does it feel like? when I attempt WILDs, i can occasionally get to this far off feeling like my mind is drifting off from my body, which I take to be hypnagogia. I will also very occasionally get to a point where my limbs start to go numb, and once or twice my finge...

Re: Demonic Figures and OBE's

this is actually something i've been wondering about. i'm aware that people having night terrors, even if they know they have night terrors, will believe that the things they see are real. However, I'm under the impression that this is something a little bit different, since it's something that you ...

Re: Sleep paralysis

well, if you're into the fear, i'd say go for gusto. the whole sleep paralysis/hypnagogic hallucinations thing is actually the only reason i'm worried about lucid dreaming at all.

Re: melatonin

well, i'm not really looking for something to put me down. since i'm trying WILD, that would be counterproductive anyway. thanks for the advice. a nice, weak sleeping pill might be exactly what I need.

melatonin

so, my sleep schedule is all screwed up lately, and my roommate suggested i take melatonin to help regulate my circadian rhythm. When I looked it up to make sure it won't screw with my attempts to lucid dream by cutting down on REM sleep or something, i found just the opposite, that it tends to boos...

Re: Time before you enter a wake inuced lucid dream

I'm new to this whole thing, and have yet to become properly lucid in a dream (the best i've ever gotten is that semi-lucid state where you almost realize you're dreaming), but I can answer one of your questions: yes, you can enter sleep paralysis before a WILD, but as I understand it, sleep paralys...
