Re: 2 months D:

are you paying attention to things that can make it hard for you to have lucid dreams? are you getting enough sleep? are you smoking too much weed? do you have a nutritious diet? are you getting enough exercise? not staying healthy can make it harder to have lucid dreams and smoking too much weed ca...

Re: First lucid dream! Now to stay in it.

the best mindset that has worked for me is to hold your ground while you let the dream and your thoughts race around you. i know its not very explanatory, but if you stay in the dream its all right.

Re: What is the best time to have a nap so as to dream?

nobody can tell you why, just try different things and see how they effect you. also, you just might not be much of a daytime dreamer. what i can tell you is that if you spend a little time each day doing reality checks and writing in a dream journal, over a long period of time, you'll be pretty dam...

Re: Will this improve my recall?

i can't see how it would hurt. but i'm guessing it will only do a fraction of what actually writing it down does. imagine you're reading a book. what happens in your head? don't you visualize what's going on, even if its just a quick flash of a scene? i think that part of the brain kicks in when we ...

Re: How do I stabilize a lucid dream

i had such a hard time with this when i first tried learning to lucid dream. what helped me is i started meditating for at least 20 minutes every day. i made a point of making sure i never missed a day. now when i dream its natural for me to do the same meditation while dreaming, even if i'm not luc...

Re: Lightswitch never turns on light in dreams

Yes Rami ok, I sort of do feel like its someone watching me in dreams (tho supposedly I dont believe in that stuff!) I have asked them lots of times but havnt got an answer. When I realise its a dream I often arent as afraid but most times the evilness/nastyness is too horrible to be near so I try ...

Re: The Best Reality Checks

i just stop what i'm doing and observe what's around me. take a few moments to look around and just take in my environment. if i'm in a dream i usually become lucid after doing just that, but for my reality checks i also ask questions like how did i get here? or in what ways is my experience dreamli...

Re: How do our ears work when we sleep?

well i think our ears work just fine, but i think are brains are just working in a much different way when we're dreaming. sounds get processed differently. i think its to make us more sensitive to danger, like an animal sneaking up on us or nibbling on us. i don't know why, but i'm itchy all the ti...

Re: Dream Job- IS THERE ONE?

if you're wondering if you can get a career in dreaming, then maybe. i mean one example would be writing a book about your lucid dreaming experiences. maybe there's people who would pay you to do research. i'm happy you have that ability though, seems wonderful.

Re: a comment on meditation

Normally the term 'meditation' sort of turns me off as I am not big into the Eastern philosophy I tend to associate with it.... I am more scientific in my approach to lucid dreaming, having learned via LaBerge. But the idea of 'quieting the mind' and shutting down the internal dialog is really grea...
