Re: Rubbing hands together!

For me, it seems to work because it moves the attention around and "resets" it. I actually give two sharp claps, rather than rub my hands together, but it amounts to the same thing. When I do the clap I intentionally feel for the slight "sting" that accompanies the clap. Placing ...

Re: Dream Journal?

I now do everything on the computer. I have terrible handwriting and I am really slow. I use Evernote, because it's free and because it allows for tagging and named notebooks. Tagging dreams is great since you can pull up all dreams that contain a specific character, a specific symbol, or whatever. ...

Re: Switching the lights off and other exercises

I've tried all these as well, especially the light switch thing. Lights almost never work for me. The most I get is that I can see the filament with a very weak glow that doesn't illuminate anything. Mirrors can be really trippy for sure! To the point that sometimes I'm not in the mood. Flying is pr...

Re: OBE or Lucid Dream?

The links led to a couple of very interesting reads, thanks. I didn't know you were a famous lucid dreamer. Move over, Swedenborg! ;) I like reading about other people's adventures. They can put me into the LD feeling even while I'm awake sitting there reading. Just like reading/seeing Summerlander'...

Re: OBE or Lucid Dream?

and some misconceptions there about Goethe I don't think so. He is the absolute master at seeing the parts in the whole, which was the main point I was making. And while I said he eschews theory, that doesn't mean I am saying he eschews the Newtonian science of his time. He, saw it as one side of t...

Re: OBE or Lucid Dream?

You also say that colours have no physical correlate... well, how do you know when we do not yet have full knowledge of all brain interactions? Also, can you look at the hardware inside a computer and identify the colourful picture of a beach? No, you can't. And yet, the software may display it. Co...

Re: OBE or Lucid Dream?

It's funny how you have completely ignored my last post and continue to play the same notes no matter what. I expected you to at least refute some of the points I've made - unless you're about to? Yes, that's the case. 1.) other people were chiming in, which was refreshing, so posts this morning we...

Re: OBE or Lucid Dream?

There is always something askew Don't get me wrong here, there are almost always anomalies, but they are so incidental in relation to what is "replicated", they don't bother me at all.For example, in one episode, everything was pretty much in place in my living room, except that stacked o...

Re: OBE or Lucid Dream?

I have a very guarded use of words and its hard sometimes to get meaning into a post without it going sideways a little I feel the sideways is good, not detracting. Dreams have that sideways quality to them. In a dreamstate i feel there are at least 3 infomation flows, memory, blended memory and th...
