Re: Finally a true LD after years of stopping

So I got another LD last night (I'm on fire!) Same strategy - WBTB, move around a bit, write my dreams, read previous dreams, then go back to sleep, try to WILD. Again, WILD didn't work, but I kept telling myself "I am dreaming" while falling asleep, so it's a MILD. I have to turn once or ...

Re: Finally a true LD after years of stopping

Good advice! Indeed, maybe my unconscious has something to tell me :)

Finally a true LD after years of stopping

Hey guys, First of all, I had stopped thinking about and practicing Lucid Dreaming for like 3 years now, my mind went out to other things. But recently, I picked it up again. I've been flooding a Dream Journal for a couple weeks now (2-3 dreams a day), and practicing WBTB +MILD/WILD every other day,...

Re: Is lucid dreaming a virtual reality playground? NO.

It's a way to see it, but it's not a fact.

In a sense, it is sort of a playground, but a playground of wonders: who knows what's coming next? :P

Re: Seriously Scared

> My hands shook very rapidly. My head felt like exploding. And I started hearing loud "beep beep" sounds in my ears. This now is more of a description of those scary sleep paralysis, isn't it? Definitely, although you seem to have got the whole package man :P Usually, it's not as intense,...

Re: Kinda strange but..

Well, since it seems like you're determined on this, here's how: First of all, don't be afraid. It's a completely natural response of the body to entering the sleeping state. You will be surprised though, as to how it feels. Don't be discouraged if, the first time, you just freak out a bit. It's nor...

Re: Lucid dream plus questions

Working on some techniques might help in your case. Running around shouting that you're dreaming is rarely the best option. :P Remember that the one you need to convince that you are dreaming is yourself. Try to remember where you're coming from, who you are, where you are. Look at your surroundings...

Re: first lucid dream in a while

Are you sure you were lucid? You didn't once imply anything about having control in the dream. Not that it is a bad thing, but maybe you were just having a very vivid regular dream, which happens sometimes. ;) Things like "I realized I was dreaming when..." or "I tried to stabilize th...

Re: Newbie here. Feeling a bit discouraged.

Well, it certainly is a start. Before starting to consider having meaningful lucid dreams, you should be able to remember at least 1 dream every night, more if possible (3+ is best). That's because having great dream recall will also help you recall those Lucid Dreams. :P You don't want to forget th...

Re: Newbie here. Feeling a bit discouraged.

I tell myself every night before bed "I will have a lucid dream tonight and I will remember it in the morning." I can't remember any of my dreams. When I wake up I lay there completely motionless for a good 10 minutes, just trying to recall something. And these "mechanical" habi...
