I think I finally found a good way of becoming lucid

It's been many months since I became interested in lucid dreaming, but I've continually failed. I stopped dream journaling, and I stopped doing reality checks, but I was still determined to find a way. I've managed to become lucid a few months ago for a few minutes, and this week I've managed to bec...

Ever since I started trying to Lucid Dream...

...I've started periodically remembering many long-forgotten dreams. I keep having flashes of said dreams almost every day, and think: Wow, I completely forgot about that one. It's interesting that I'm having memories of dreams that are possibly several years old that I barely took note of before. A...

A bad mattress can really hurt your dream recall

I'm just discovering the importance of a good mattress. You might not actually be aware that your mattress is not a very good one, until you try lying on it for half an hour without tossing and turning. My dream recall went up from 1 dream every 4 days to 2 dreams every day when I switched beds.

The language of dreams?

It seems to me that dreaming is like a language that the subconscious mind speaks, and much of the time, that language is something your conscious mind barely understands, which I think might partially explain why we have difficulty remembering much of our dreams. At least for me, I can remember the...

Re: New Members Present You Here.

Hi everyone. I'm 26, and I have Asperger's Syndrome, so forgive my weirdness. I haven't had a lucid dream yet, but I'm very determined. My problem is that I'm hyper-realistic, and I'm highly resistant to anything that's not in line with reality, which makes it difficult for me to train my subconscio...

I can't sleep on my back.

Is this a problem? I can relax on my back, but I can never fully sleep unless I turn to my side. I know they say that sleeping on the back is best for LD, but how important is it? And can I still attempt WILD on my back even if I'm unable to actually sleep? Or should I attempt it on my side?

Re: Feeling a little down about my dream recall

Don't think that light is the problem. I have some sort of curtain-thingy that rolls down. It doesn't block the light from the sides, but the only effect that it might have on me is not being able to get to sleep easily. My dream recall is pretty good, with at least one dream each night, and usuall...

Is it normal to find WILD easier than MILD?

They always say that WILD is harder than MILD. I've been trying to do MILD for a few months now with no success, except possibly once where I realized I was dreaming, but then forgot. Yesterday I thought I'd try something different. I induced sleep-paralysis, and went even went into REM while consci...

Feeling a little down about my dream recall

It's been a few months since I took an interest in Lucid Dreaming. I've been trying to keep a dream journal, but I only seem to be able to remember one dream every 3 to 4 days. I don't understand why. I generally have a good waking memory. I think it might be the quality of my sleep. I sleep about 8...
