Re: Having been killed in dreams

Thanks, Mike, for sharing. Not sure I can identify with being sucked out of the dream state—waking, yes; sucking, not so much. :D Funny you should mention driving dreams when you were 11. I can only remember one driving dream I had at a young age, not sure how old. It seemed rather comfortable to be...

Re: Saw daughter before her birth

Ace, thanks for your comment. It's interesting that this is the only time this sort of thing has happened to me, a daddy. However, I have had dreams of my father and step-mother, and other people, visiting me in dreams, who have died, including the woman who died before having met her, the one whose...

Re: Saw daughter before her birth

Thanks, Mike, for your perspective. If these things I dream of are far away in the future, then I'm in for some interesting times, including I don't know how many more marriages, how many more kids, flying saucers and aliens looking for me to destroy me, and too many other things to remember or reco...

Having been killed in dreams

When I was about 18 years old (a long time ago), I had dreams on (I think) consecutive nights. Dream 1: I was in my living room of my home when someone came barging in through the front door and unloaded a six shooter into my body. I immediately found myself in a state of limbo, kind of like floatin...

Re: Saw daughter before her birth

Thank you for your response, Tania. I'm not sure where my "place" of reality is when I dream. I'm not even sure where my dreams take place, although I have heard a lot of speculation. Astral—I don't know. Another dimension—I don't know. My own subconscious—I don't know. Most of my dreams j...

Re: Techniques for Beginners

Axs, I've been wondering the same thing. In fact, that was a suggestion that was given me in another forum. But I'm going to keep trying, no matter what. Currently, I am repeating a mantra of sorts after I go to bed. With my eyes closed and being relaxed as much as possible, I repeat the following f...

Saw daughter before her birth

I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this, but it's the closest I could find. My last daughter was born while my wife and I were separated. A few days before she was born, or maybe just a couple, she came to me in a dream, but it wasn't exactly a dream. I was asleep, however. When I'm a...

Re: Lucid Dreams Aren’t All What They’re Cracked up To Be

Thank you for all your replies. I want to tell you what happened last night. I went to bed and while lying there with eyes closed, I repeated over and over in my mind the following mantra, if I can call it that: "This is a dream. I am dreaming." Nothing happened that I can call lucid, but ...

Re: The closest I've ever been

How is this experience different from the beginning stages of an out-of-body experience. I've never had one, but I've heard a number of people describe them, and I've read Robert Monroe's "Journeys Out of the Body" and there are a lot of similarities.

Re: Lucid Dreams Aren’t All What They’re Cracked up To Be

I appreciate your candor regarding your lucid dreams. My third dream I was, I think, fully lucid. The first two I didn't get a chance to, as I was immediately taken down as soon as I realized I was dreaming, although I don't know how I realized I was dreaming, or how these two characters knew I knew...
