Re: Control

I agree with MercyStrange-work with the dream to make stuff happen not against it!

Re: Weed, Cheese & Lucid Dreaming

I'm no expert... but won't alcohol and marijuana cause REM rebound anyway? as the effects wear off during the night, your body should make up for the lost REM sleep with longer stages of it later on in the night! although, if you say your dream recall is better when you lay off the magic broccoli wh...

Does it happen for you to know how to get false awakening every night, maybe??

Can't help you there :( I don't actually have that many false awakenings in the first place! I love them when I do though-they're always so bizarre!

Re: False Awaking (3 in a row)

I wish! :/ Nahhhh, at least not yet-one day hopefully ;) I'm just getting back into lucid dreaming actually after a 2 or 3 month break so I'm expecting to be back at square one again unfortunately :( Are you able to LD every night!? Re: False Awaking (3 in a row)

Thanks! I will try tonight again. The thing is that I didn't think of any place when I was spinning and that was a mistake. I wonder now how it came to a hallway.. That another option of course-spinning and seeing what random place you end up in :D I kind of want to try that way now! And th...

Re: False Awaking (3 in a row)

False awakenings are always so weird XD gotta love them! I have difficulty creating places and people too-I use the spinning technique to make a new place and try to imagine where I want to go in vivid detail as I spin. It's usually not exactly how I want but close enough so I just go with it ;) don...

Re: So... what now? (And also hello!)

Hey and welcome to the forum! :) If you're nearly up to one LD a week and you only just started, then I have a feeling you'll pick up new techniques pretty quickly! :D As for the flying (and everything else pretty much) in an LD, the key is to Know that you can fly-forget the fact that its impossibl...

Re: The Picture Frame Technique.

Just read the star trek link because it intrigued me-in Are You Dreaming (I think it was this book!) by Daniel Love, he describes how he uses the transporters in Star Trek (or the idea of them anyway) to change the dreamscape in a lucid dream-it seems like star trek is a gateway to lucid dreams ;) T...

Re: What type of alarm to use and best times to wake up at?

yeah 4-6 hours seems to be the standard ;)

Personally I'd set your alarm as a song you hate and place the alarm somewhere so that you have to leave the bed-that way you have to get up and turn that rubbish off ;)

Re: revision/sport

I'd eventually like to use LDs to practise playing the saxophone (i'm at music college), as I've read that your brain can actually make the neuron pathways or whatever they are through repeated actions in a dream. This could be really useful for me if I could get a practise room dreamscape going on!...
