Re: Failed passing through a wall

Sometimes going through walls is more difficult for me, too. I read that the easiest way is to just turn around and push backward without thinking about it too much. Just focus on pushing.

Re: The Stupidest Ways You've Missed Becoming Lucid

My dumbest way was to actually recognize that my current dream was a dream and to then not remember why I should care. It was a recurring dream and I knew what kinds of things were going to happen next because I recognized which dream I was having.

Re: Please help me with delicate problems!

It is normal to have an erection while dreaming. It indicates a problem if you don't. If you are familiar with the idea of learning meditation techniques, I would suggest learning the microcosmic orbit from chi kung. You could then use the sensations as a source of energy and move them through the o...

Re: Lack of visualisation control

If you want to spend more time with it, take 100 steps instead of 10. That way you can still go quickly and relax a little more on each step and take your time with it. If 100 steps aren't enough, you can go to 200 or 250 - but I think that saying the numbers will slow you down. It is better to adap...

Re: calling it quits: LD leads to horrible insomia

I frequently recognize that I'm having one of my usual dreams and all I do about it is quickly check to see which variation I'm...

It isn't as automatic as that. Even at 30 minutes and 60 minutes I'm not there yet. That includes waking up after 6 hours and going back to bed. It could be fair to say that some people, some of the time, could enter sleep paralysis after 20 minutes of holding still in an inclined position.

Re: Opinions on contradictory advice

The Jhana condition in Theravada Buddhism involves having the body remain in the "desire realm" while the mind shifts to the world "of pure form". It is a sort of projection experience because the body is perceived as dropping away. It tends to be a very complete and convincing e...

Re: Opinions on contradictory advice

Consciously experiencing sleep paralysis means that the body is asleep while the mind is awake. That is a useful condition because it can go in more than one direction. Astral projection, wake induced lucid dreams (WILD), and meditation are all options. Generally speaking, it is better to actively d...

Re: Supplements

Supplements are of limited use. They don't work directly to cause or trigger lucid dreams. They can help to support your efforts, but you can definitely learn lucid dreaming without them. It is more about unlearning, really. Supplements can help to change the limiting belief that it is difficult to ...

Only if the checks become automatic and you aren't really looking for an answer.
