Re: great youtube documentary

Well, without evidence I think we can rule out demons. That leaves out trying to tell the difference between the two experiences. One's fear and helplessness simply make these hallucinations seem more real and terrifying, for, if they didn't seem that way, they'd be much easier to shrug off.

Re: Hypnopompia

Call me pedantic, but what do you mean by 'sensory' there when vision is also a sense despite its uniqueness? Are you referring to tactility , by any chance?. You are both pedantic AND correct. I did mean tactility, but not just external touch. Is the sensation of a vibration surging through you in...

Re: Hypnopompia

Okay, now that I have a moment.... Let me reiterate that most of my vivid dreams - terrifying OR euphoric - are more sensory/emotional than visual or plot driven. As such, you won't find my nightmares populated by creatures chasing me, or my sensual dreams populated by steamy vixens from some romanc...

Re: Hypnopompia

That was a great and thorough reply. Thanks! I try my best. But though I am very descriptive, I sometimes wonder when I describe these dreams from so long ago if I am actually remembering them or just remembering the way I've been describing them to others for so long. Like reading a script of a lo...

Re: Hypnopompia

And yes, what do you call it when you get those 'vibrations' for lack of a better word, in the middle of the night, between dreams. I don't know. :? I believe that would be hypnopompic. We can wake up any time during night, so if the SP occurs after having been asleep, that would be it. I have expe...

Re: Sleep Paralysis would just not happen, any tips?

I don't know how to do a cartwheel! You are right about my trying too hard - but I don't know how to try halfway. Any attempt is too much of an attempt, and the only way to find sleep again is to forget what I have been trying to accomplish. It is like I am allergic to SP/LD attempts, and the sympto...

Re: Hypnopompia

You're right about too many acronyms being used and even misused. I want to write a joke sometime that explains how to lucid dream using all of them to point out how ridiculous it sounds. (Had a DILD, that ended with FA, felt some SP, then had a WILD... you get what I mean.) However, since there is...

Re: Hypnopompia

Hagart: it has been a long time but I also have experienced the sensation of having a person sitting down or getting up from the bed, along with the very soft sound it makes, as well as the feeling of a heavy blanket placed on top of me. But those sensations were at the very beginning of the SP epis...

Re: Hypnopompia

It's funny because I seem to differ a lot from you. Familiarising myself with sleep paralysis and its hallucinations led to an acceptance (that it is okay for my mind to conjure fearsome conceptions) besides viewing the state as an opportunity to lucid dream. The fear is still present to different ...

Re: Hypnopompia

Only once did I experience "sequential" SP, which was my mistake because upon waking up I closed my eyes too soon again, only to be "sucked" back into the SP. Now, was this a hypnagogic event? I would say no, because one could argue that I hadn't properly woken up from the previ...
