Re: How long did it take you guys to get your first lucid dream and how often do you get them now?

I had my first lucid dream just a few days after learning about it. For a period of several months I was very good with dream journalling and reality checking, and I was getting 1-3 lucid dreams a month, and remembering 3-7 dreams per night. Lately I'm in a dry spell, but I know it's because I'm now...

Re: Couldn't talk in the dream. Is this a part of LUCID Dream too?

That has happened to me before. Drives me crazy! Sometimes it feels like there's a huge lump in my throat and I can't figure out how to make my voice work. The odd thing is, before I become lucid in the dream, I'm able to speak just fine!! Then lucidity comes and my voice stops working. It doesn't h...

Re: Can I have help with wishing for things?

Also, maybe try wishing for something mundane, like for your shoe to change color or to see some random animal. Something you have no emotional attachment to. If you can be successful with something silly, then try the chocolate in your pocket or the cute girl!

3 lucids in one night!

After a very long dry spell of extremely rare/short lucid dreams, I had a breakthrough this past week, and had 3 lucids in one night, and the next night had a very brief WILD. In the first of the 3 lucid dreams, I became lucid in my son's room, when I was looking over his "work schedule" w...

Re: First LD! Tips?

That's a great first LD experience!! I've been in a dry spell myself, but I'd suggest spending some time thinking about some things you'd like to do while lucid then write them down. Every night before bed look it over so if you have another opportunity you'll remember your goals. Good luck!

Re: question

I have no firsthand experience with WBTB but from what I have read about it, it works best after a few hours of sleep so that you'll be likely to enter into a long period of REM sleep. So, night or day, depends on when your natural sleep cycle is primed for it. Good luck!

Re: My favorite WILD technique

I'm certainly going to try this! I tend to naturally wake up after 5-6 hours of sleep, but I always either fall right back to sleep without noticing SP or I get myself too awake that I can't go back to sleep. I've also noticed that when SP starts, for me it's like a heaviness, a tingling, but then m...

Re: melatonin

I use melatonin, and recently upped my dose from 3 mg to 5 mg, and I haven't noticed an increase in lucid dreaming, but my non-lucids are much more vivid and have continuity- a clearer beginning, middle, and end. It's only been about a week on the higher dose, but I'm hoping that the clearer dreams ...

Re: No transition from SP to Dream World?

Also, one more question, when you are trying to go through a SP, and your limbs feel heavy, do you get the feeling that you could move your limbs if you wanted to, but you feel comfortable not doing it? That's how it usually feels for me. I've never gotten to a fully paralyzed state, just a heavine...

Re: Help or advice needed, I'm too busy or exhausted to LD

From one parent to another-- the struggle is real!! I'm lucky to get one lucid dream a month, and they're never very long. The length of sleep and time of morning definitely seems to play a part in that. So, no advice, but know that you're not alone!
