Re: ...Disconnection...

Now, let me just say that I'm not losing track of reality in any way, so don't get that idea. I've been experiencing an increasingly prominent change of mindset while awake and in the real world. Some of it, I fear, may be attributable to my oneironautical ventures. I feel ... detached ... while in...

Re: How to fly and how to LD (easy tip)

Had a lucid dream this morning and after a DC challenged me to a sword fight with long sticks of cut wood, he flew off high into the sky with about 10 more sticks. I decided to chase after him, taking a few sticks with me, but was not able to get very high. Normally I can fly fairly easily, but this...

I've done this twice almost by accident. I was awake, but then 10 seconds later just watched the dream form and stepped into it while still awake. It was almost seamless. Definitely the ultimate, but haven't tried to master it.

Re: Aim to get a positive false reading from an RC?

One of the things that goes along with RCs is establishing in your mind that you can not tell the difference between waking reality and dream reality. If you could, lucid dreaming would be fairly easy. That was on eof the first things I had to learn. It was difficult because most of us have this bel...

Re: Have you ever found your dream guide?

I'm very familiar with what I believe to be my dream guide. It's a dream character that can take various forms, but is always very loving and just there to help and support, not solve my problems. I am often visited just before something difficult happens in my life. Last time I just got a big hug t...

Re: Hosting meetings for lucid dreamers in lucid dream space

Thanks for sharing. I really do hope that some people here try to join one of your meetings. Maybe we could get a mutual dream here. It's very interesting because the dream characters really seem to be much more like real individuals in these places as if they are real people. I always wonder if we...

Re: How good does lucid dreaming get? Example of why you lov

Wow you really are great at explaining this: "thinking about what your physical body is doing back in bed." that is incredibly interesting! I've never even thought of that, that truly sets in perspective how amazing it really is. Of course it's evident that your body is back in bed but th...

Re: How good does lucid dreaming get? Example of why you lov

When I was in my teens smoking a lot of pot, I used to call it the "drug of apathy". We didn't come to Earth and into this life just to numb our brains, "feel good" and not give a crap about accomplishing anything. I tried it for a while too, before figuring out that it was such ...

Re: How good does lucid dreaming get? Example of why you lov

They only way I can lucid dreams is to have a real focus on making it happen, anything less than full effort doesn't work for me even after 2 years of doing it fairly regularly. As far as making the lucid dreams longer, that is best accomplished with the WILD technique. Often with other methods, the...

Re: How good does lucid dreaming get? Example of why you lov

I forgot to add an example of why I love it. One of the most awesome things for me in lucid dreams is being able to touch things and how perfectly real things feel. I often make decisions in lucid dreams to stop and touch various objects just for the purpose of comparing the feel to how waking-life ...
