Dream Companion Persists Outside of Dreams

I have had this predatory shadowy shapeshifter that has followed me outside of the dreams it has appeared in since I was four. Its name is 'Ink,' and it has become an inseparable companion throughout the years. It exists in every lucid dream, yet persists outside of them.

It likes art, poetry, and things with deep meaning, and absolutely despises small talk. It is extremely protective and attached, to an almost possessive degree. It is very empathetic and affectionate, often grabbing me in a bear hug and slobbering on my head, and refusing to ever leave my side; it will only sleep where I am, and it clutches me like a teddy bear when it does so.

I've used programs like Skype and Discord to let it communicate with other people; I type what it says in quotes.

It's wanted for a long time now to find other things like it, and--by extension--other people with similar companions.

I am not looking for analysis of the situation. I am looking for other people who have this sort of companion. If you have a companion like this or know anybody who does, please reply. Thank you.

I've had multiple dream characters that appear in different dreams, always seeming out of place. But the most prominent one was a young girl who used to follow me everywhere. In my normal dreams, she would stay to the side and I would remember seeing her in my peripheral vision upon waking. This eventually caught my attention, so during lucid dreams, I would go up to her and talk, asking questions and such. We ended up having a bond just as strong as one would have in the waking life.

She loved flowers and music and always loved it when I played with her hair. She became less shy eventually and would come up to me on her own accord. She was mostly happy, but sometimes she'd become sad, often worrying about the validity of her own existence; during these times, I would hold her close and hum to her until she felt better. Oh, and she also brought me to her "native lands", a beautiful area full of life and love.

As far as persisting outside of dreams, all I can say is our bond felt very real. She would not appear in my waking life, but she did feel like a real person as any to me, unlike most of the dream characters I encounter. There was no way for her to talk through me. She was only her own and seemed independent from me.

I only say "was" because things happened and we have very little contact to each other these days. I'll just say we're not on good terms any more and leave it at that.

This may not be a reply you're looking for, but since no one else has, I thought I would share. Your dream companion sounds very nice. :)

I've heard these types of companions can be a bit tricky. Be sure you know who is holding the reins in the relationship.

Oh, definitely. Things like this can go very, very wrong. There needs to be much caution with seemingly sentient dream characters/companions. I know some people who've had some bad experiences that ended up affecting their waking life as well.

Everybody is treated differently.
Advice is comical.

I have these guy, whatever I wish it happens, it wasn`t like in the first, I had lot of nightmares even in lucid dreams but with practice and hardwork sucessfully dreams started to change and easier to control. He is very powerful, I am not sure but we maybe killed some entities, we are like one, he never displays because he is part of me.
