so very close

Postby ingestiblebulk » 25 Mar 2012 05:54

so, i had my first lucid dream, sort of. I had a false awakening, and did a reality check, which showed that i had too many fingers. I realized I was dreaming, and even managed to change the channels of the TV that was on behind my head. However, I was very tired and afraid that I'd wake up if I moved, so I wound up falling back into regular sleep very quickly. Any advice on how to stay awake (in my dream world, that is.)

I recently had my first lucid dream and I almost felt the same thing. Three great things to do to stabilize yourself in a lucid dream and make it last longer are:
1. Rub your hands together and/or stare at and study your hands.
2. Shout "Increase clarity" or "increase lucidity". This helped me personally.
3. Spinning in your dreamworld.
