If you can't sleep at nights, try this:

Notice your thoughts. Notice how one thought leads to another. Simply observe them. Don't give them a lot of credit. Watch them, accept them, and release them. Gently come back to what you want to accomplish once lucid. It's like changing a channel on the TV. Drifting thoughts are normal. Just watch them, accept them, and release them. When you realize what you are doing, simply change the channel then remind yourself what it is you want to accomplish once you are lucid.
