Beginner in LD

Postby Ihmed » 13 Aug 2012 10:33

So I started practicing the techniques few months ago.
By writing symbols on my hands and doing reality checks.

So far I only had 2 LD. And none of them was what I expected.

First one was short and basically I wanted to fly through the roof of my house and I did, but sadly I woke up for some reason.

Second one was a bit better then the first one, I got excited and then remembered to spin around in order to calm myself. Once I was calm I tried to change the surroundings since it was a room crowded with people. I failed to do anything but walk around, and then I woke up. Can you explain how come I was Lucid but I wasn't able to do what I wanted? I even wanted to teleport out but it didn't work

Thank you for your help!

Try rubbing your hands together and stay as calm as possible. Do more than 1 reality check in the dream so you can be fully assured that you're dreaming.

And when I want to do something should I imagine it or say/shout it out loud?
