I started to sleep for the purpose of sleeping without trying to dream and I'd wake up only once in the morning and couldn't recall much at all.
I'm starting up my habits again too, and the best one is Wake Back to Bed. (I did wake up, but I was too lazy to get out of bed. Getting up is also important.) You can use any method you want after that, but I find it does wonders to wake up in the night, and clear my head and then go back to sleep with a clear mind. In fact I usually wake up several times and that's what makes my dreams easier to remember and then in turn easier to be lucid because I stay more lucid-minded and alert.
