Conspicuously Absent From Your Dreams

Postby Sean Jacobs » 16 Mar 2017 15:05

Good day all.

I have an interesting questions. What things do you find conspicuously absent from your normal dreams after you wake up?

For me I very rarely see any words, letters or numbers in my dreams. I almost never see any light switches or outlets. I don't ever remember seeing the sun in a normal dream (but have intentionally looked at it in a lucid dream)

Just curious if any of you have things you've notices rarely or never show up in your normal dreams that are commonly seen in real life.

The more I pay attention to my dreams the more things I discover:
> Electronics of any kind rarely show up.
> I'm never cold in my dreams, which makes sense because my physical body is nice and warm in my bed.
> I never feel like I'm physically exerting myself in my dreams which makes sense as well.
> Food rarely shows up as well actually eating or drinking.

One thing that I notice is that handwriting seems to be absent from my dreams. This is especially odd considering how often I write on any given day.

I don't think I have ever eaten or drunk anything in my dream. I will have to try that in the future. Have other people done that and what is tasting like. I have smelled things like cut grass and flowers and did smell, but never tasted.

Hi RGDreams. Thank you. I don't think I've ever written anything in a dream before.

I've eaten candy in a lucid dream and it is amazing! Much more intense than real life.

More:
Any form of electronic screens - Computer, TV, smart phones, etc.
Conversation: I notice when I speak to dream characters it is rarely an actual conversations. It is usually a few short sentences as best.
Precipitation: I rarely experience rain or snow falling in my dreams.

I recently mentioned that I never have tasted anything in a dream.

I finally ate something in my dream!
I ate a peach. It was ok, wasn't the best I ever had, but it was cool to taste something in a dream.

What was weird was that I ate the peach in the weirdest way. I went to the after life and met a spiritual man who did Tai Chi. As he practiced his martial arts the chi energy would gather around him and if you were within 30 feet of him you would start to taste peaches in your mouth.

And that my friend was how I tasted food for the first time in a dream. I didn't eat it, the taste just appeared in my mouth. Weird.

Nudity and sex maybe .0001% of the dreams I ever had.
