It could be way worse, I will tell you this.
I was so extreme with the X rated violence in my lucid dreams to my bullies, I believe the FBI would probably be hauling my @#$# off to prison if they knew exactly what I was doing to them. I sure got suspended from middle school when I drew several of the X rated things I was doing to them in my drawings.

My mother sort of knew what I was doing to my bullies in my lucid dreams, and she took it really well. Because I keep my violent behavior in my lucid dreams and in video games, she's fine with it. It's no different killing a dream character than it is killing Sims. I am sure however, people who read my violent tendencies in lucid dreams or on the Sims might mistake me for a psychopath, which I would never do such things in real life. Lucid dreams are different from real life, and I know this.

As far as how you behaved in a lucid dream, well it is fine for the lucid dream, but I probably wouldn't write it down. Child pornography of any kind is considered illegal in most places, no matter what form it is in. In the US, it can land you in prison for up to 5 years.

not a good situation, for the future write it up with code words and just enough info to remind you of what it was about.
Tell you mum that they are dreams and you dont make them up they just happen but you are one of the people that seem to recall them so you wrote them down.
Remind her of the good stuff about you, I hope...no drugs, study hard, well ajusted and so on. Its a shock to most people and they will not understand or get almost all aspects of dreaming.
For you its natural wide ranging and interesting and an insight into your mind.

Keep us posted.
Who are you I asked, the reply "dont be silly, we are your daughers" many years before they were born

Hi Dizzy

As a 54 year old parent of twins I will only say that parenting is a difficult task. Sometimes we do what we think is the best for our child but go about it in the wrong way. I can't comment on the actions of your Mum because I don't have enough information and I am a stranger on an internet forum anyway.

Dreams are very personal and strange and people in general don't talk about their dreams to each other (except here :) ). First of all don't worry about your dreams and if you are, speak with someone you trust about them. Remember that dreams are just that, a dream. Sometimes there is a logic behind the dream sometimes not and sometimes the link is not obvious until later.

The dream about your cousin sounds perfectly normal to me though I am unqualified from a professional aspect, to give it other than 'my opinion'. The fact that it was a cousin is not important, it could have been anybody really. The dream needed a character in which to act out its fantasy and your mind simply picked a cousin. I will let you in on a secret, when I was 14 (40 bloody years ago...sigh) I was attracted to one of my cousins, nothing ever happened, it was completely innocent. Did I dream about that cousin? I can't remember now it's so long ago.I

The only advice I can give from one much, much older than you is don't focus too much on 'dream interpretation'. There may be an explanation for a dream or there may not. And anyway dreams at your age are going to be about things you are only just exploring or aware of, so expect some confusing scenarios in your dreams!

I am sure you'll be fine. Personally and it's just my opinion, if someone wants to explore someone else's dreams, they ought to be willing to have their own dreams explored too.

Oy.

So, as far as career prospects, I don't think being sent to counselling will have any negative effect.

Unless the counsellor is an absolute moron, strictly Freudian, and/or lets your mother manipulate them, they'll know dreams aren't a direct representation of your desires. If needed, remind them that dream characters can look like one, act like another, have the name of a third, and represent something completely different. (Though even if it were a desire as is, so what? Hormones are weird, and you're not acting on it.)

Silver lining: If you luck out with a good counsellor, maybe they can even help you cope with your mother having violated your trust.

Sigh. Sorry you're dealing with this, but it's definitely not singlehandedly ruining your life.

I hope the counsellor is good, lol. If so, I think they could help me out with a lot more than my mom.

It was just a regular dream, it wouldn't happen in a lucid dream because I don't actually want to have sex with my cousin. As for child pornography, I'm not into that, and if I was I wouldn't even know where to get it.

If it is a non-lucid dream, I don't see anything wrong with what you did.
I do way worse things with the violence in my lucid dreams.

Don't even ask where you can get it. It's really not a good subject.
