Attention male lucid dreamers

Postby GodFoster » 22 Mar 2013 02:34

This may sound a bit weird and it probably will come off quite weird but here it goes. I have not posted on here in a WHILE ( many months). I would like to make you males aware of Nofap. It is a subreddit of reddit.com with its purpose being guys trying to stop their porn and/or masterbation addiction. Anyway many of the people of do this have posted all the time about how they seem to remember sooo many more dreams and they were so much more vivid. Im talking a LOT of people said they could remember dreams a lot better. So if you want to try it out go to http://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap/ a lot of people said they were remembering a lot more and i have no idea why.

Thou Im not a male I thought I'd respond. It makes sense to me that those who have sex addictions may be more aware of their dreams as the addiction itself would appear A LOT in their dreams and their addiction would also tend to make the dreams more intense (as something you are really into is going to be even more intense in a dream).

It would be those things which would be helping them to have vivid dreams.

At what point and who decides that something is an addiction?

Usually a doctor will decide who has an addiction or the actual person themselves will realise as addictions tend to affect daily life eg with sex addictions the addict may be actually late for work at times due to their addiction and will often while at work be distracted due to it (may be doing things like looking up porn while at work).

My boyfriend is a sex addict, he cant just be with one person due to this and has slept with over 1000 girls according to him (he's slept with males, he's slept with females), he looks at porn daily.. I believe that as he cant be faithful to neither me or his wife thou I believe he tries but then he ends up resorting to lies to try to cover up his acts. He even slept with my dr and I didnt find out till 6 weeks later when he finally told me. I ended up in therapy for over a year (actually nearly 2 years as I got suicidal out of him doing that) due to the betrayal of my dr and my boyfriend trust. He wouldnt let me report the dr and wouldnt back up my report, so it was only my word what they'd done so she's still practicing :( .. another sex addict as she's also slept with 2 other of her patients, one of those others I know was married too, she was also with another at the time too). My boyfriend often misses work due to his addiction and may of actually lost one job over it (he was seeing me rather then at work).

He's a good example of a person with a sex addiction.. they end up hurting due to their addiction those they love around them. Many people have high sex drives but sex addiction is something else.

First up I am sorry that it has affected you but hope you are well past that now and enjoying life.

Interesting comment on sex addiction as I tend to agree that its all defined by effect on what might be considered normal. There is high sex drive among some types and this would need an outlet and in the context that some people eat more than others and the difference is when there is some unwanted effect AND the cause cant be restricted by normal means.
Was just curious and thanks for sharing in an open way

I think what the OP is saying is that when they stop masturbating so much and go cold turkey there must be so much built up hormones, Which causes their intense dreams....
What is your definition of reality?
