Which type of reality check is the best?

Postby Lil Fav » 08 Sep 2013 19:17

I've been looking at reality checks and I'm not completely sure which one usually works the best.

it depends. you really can't say which RC is the best, since different people prefer different checks.

there is a lot to say about this, so i'd prefer you go here http://world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13578&p=32556&hilit=dream+signs#p32556 and read my post

and/or subscribe to rebecca's free e-course, to learn this and many other good beginner tips:

as tea stated, no one here can tell you what reality check will work best for you as it is a rather individual thing. It's something only you can work out for yourself.

I suggest for that reason to always do more then one kind in case one doesnt work well for you.
The only thing to fear is the fear itself

This differs from person to person. If you're around people all day, a subtle reality check might be the best choice. Like pushing a few fingers through your palm. Or trying to breathe with your mouth and nose shut. Or try to levitate. These usually work for me.

Another good one is trying to remember how you got here, and what you did previously. In the waking world, you can trace your steps back to the beginning of the day, and probably to the day before that as well. But in dreams, you can't. This doesn't work for everyone, as the minds of some people just tend to put fabricated memories in place.

Lol I look at my hands. I had seven fingers in my last lucid dream!
It was on the day before the day after yesterday.
