Suneye Method of Lucid Dreaming

Postby Sean Jacobs » 21 Mar 2017 18:29

Has anyone tried this technique? It sound a bit like a combination of WBTB and WILD.

Suneye Method of Lucid Dreaming

The method I will be describing later has been said to have a 95%+ success rate. It was successful for me and is really no harm, so might as well try it. But first, let me get some other stuff out the way.

Disclaimer 1: I'm not claiming you'll actually project yourself into the real world or that it's even possible, this is strictly for entertainment purposes. I'm well aware this is probably nothing more than a trick of the mind, but I don't see anything wrong with that if it's all for fun. We aren't trying to cure a disease here. Also, any references to being in the real world from this point on can be interpretted as being in a world created by your mind very similar to the real world, in other words, your perception of the world.

Disclaimer 2: I am not responsible for any psychological breakdowns which occur from this. Note that if you have heart problems or any serious medical conditions, you should not attempt this as I have no idea how this affects such things since breathing is apparently altered in doing this. Finally, I abstain from taking responsibility for you freaking out over the things you experience and feel.

(For those who don't care about background information, just skip to the section entitled "Method:" for the actual procedure.)

Definitions:

Lucid Dreaming(From Wikipedia) - Lucid dreaming is the conscious perception of one's state while dreaming, resulting in a much clearer ("lucid") experience and usually enabling direct control over the content of the dream.

Astral Projection(From Wikipedia) - Astral projection (or astral travel) is an interpretation of out-of-body experiences (OBEs) achieved either consciously or via lucid dreaming

Etheric Projection - Astral projection into the real world

Projector - The person in the form of their astral body which is a "projection" of either their physical body or their thoughts(Projectors can change their form at will, although others can easily see through such disguises)

Astral Plane - Different spiritual worlds. Kind of like dreams that anyone and everyone can enter.

Background: Firstly, Lucid Dreaming is something many of us have experienced. Essentially, it is a very clear dream, almost real. Often, the person has complete control of the dream. The method I am going to be describing later is a method of obtaining such a dream. But this method is also used to Astral Project. Astral Projection is a somewhat debated phenomenon which some discount as being simply a uncontrollable Lucid Dream. However, many say it is instead the process of leaving your body and traveling to another realm. These other realms are dreamlike, but like our world, they do not exist in one mind. Even further, some Projectors believe they can stay in our realm while projected and be somewhat of a ghost. Interactions are limited to seeing possibilities and giving others a sense that you were there. Of course, these are written off by many as to be false, simply. But, some people live and breath by it. The terms of astral travel are very complex: an astral cord connecting you to your body, emotions controlling every action you take immediately, emotions being expressed 100%(many cry and achieve extreme happiness in it), and of course other spirits. But that isn't why you're reading this. You want to know how and the rest will follow later.

To put some worries out of the way for weary projectors:
-You cannot lose your body. As said earlier, the astral cord connects your astral body to your regular body.
-Another person cannot steal your body. Though it has been said that if you give them permission, they can. Unsure of the validity of this
-If your astral cord is cut, you will not die. Actually, they say it can't be cut. Any tug will snap you back into your body and for some it is even invisible.

But... figuring out what is BS and what isn't is not the point of this. What we are looking for is entertainment, right? So take this as entertainment value and not super serious "I'm better than everyone because I can fly around Paris and Hell without leaving my bedroom"

Now onto the good part... the method

Method:

Caution: The end result of this method is sleep paralysis(the door to Astral Projection). This is, to many, a very scary phenomenon best described as mind awake, body asleep. As the description says, the body is asleep. It is unmovable. No matter how hard you try, you won't be able to move your body. This leads to many thinking they are dead and having a panic attack, which then leads to hallucinations. But knowing it will come will save you from such. I'm telling you right now, you WILL be paralyzed. Don't fear the inevitable, especially when it won't hurt you. When it happens, just relax and let it pass.

The Suneye method(as I've heard it) is pretty simple. As a precursor, the preceding day should not be stressful and you shouldn't have any appointments on the following day. This is to ensure stress free sleep. The sleep is not to be interrupted, so make sure you won't be. The day you are going to try it should be a normal day and you should go to sleep at a normal time.

1. Go to sleep for 5 hours. Set an alarm clock to wake you up.

2. Stay awake for 20 minutes to an hour. Don't eat or drink anything. It is recommended that you read some stuff concerning Lucid Dreaming/Astral projection(whichever is your focus of this) to stay focused

3. Get back in bed. Lay in a comfortable position facing upwards with your hands to your sides

4. Close your eyes and look towards the middle of your forehead(where some would describe to be the location of the third eye). This may be a little of a strain, but that's how it's supposed to be.

5. Repeat a phrase indicating your intentions 15-30 times while still looking towards your forehead. ex "I will have a lucid dream. I will remember everything that happens during this dream. I will be in full control of this dream." x 20.

6. Now relax your eyes and begin counting up from 1. This is to help you go to sleep. Many people find it hard to fall back to sleep after being up and moving for 20 minutes after such a long sleep.

And that's it! Now you will have some extremely fucked up dreams, likely. Finally, you'll have a lucid dream(you'll know because it will feel real/different from the others). You'll be in full control of this dream and can then choose whether you want to stay in dreamland or attempt Projection. Whatever you choose will have the same result eventually: You will "wake up"

When you wake up, you'll be paralyzed. This will last for a few seconds before you beging to feel a rapid shaking. DON'T PANIC! Your body isn't actually shaking, it's all in your head. If you don't wish to Project, let the shaking subside on it's own. If you do, you have to learn to control the "vibrations". It's hard to describe, but you have to get it to move like a wave through your body. Use your mind to guide it until it moves rhythmatically through your body. Then finally, you can use whatever your favorite method of exiting the body is. I recommend the simple swing method which involves you imagining you're at a known park on a known swing, swinging realistically. Keep swinging higher and higher until you reach the highest point. Swing once more and JUMP! If you're successfully, you'll jump right out of your body and into the astral world. Be careful as your emotions will immediately take control and send you wherever you desire. If you get scared and wish to return to your body, wiggle your big toe.

And that's that. Either you decided to Project or you allowed sleep paralysis to subside. Oh! And if you fuck up exiting/controlling the vibrations, you'll black out. This is common, so don't worry about it. It will just be like dreamless sleep.

Summary: This post describes a method for achieving entertainment in dreams/etc. If you just want to read the method, please scroll back up to the bolded section entitled "Method:"

Thank you Silence. I tried some of this technique 10+ years ago, but I can't get up in the middle of the night to do it. I just tried it when I was trying to go to sleep. It was strange and I wasn't successful.

I did something like this technique on accident when I was a teenager barely starting high school. I'd wake up in the middle of the night, try to relax for 20 minutes. I would have to take sleep pills after I left middle school, because I would wake up in the middle of the night, and scared a bully was going to sneak in my room and beat me up while I was trying to sleep (I had huge bully problems in middle school, and was beaten up constantly). One night, when I was up for a while trying to stay calm enough to try to phase into a WILD after calming myself, I felt that specific shaking, and then felt myself being thrown by some vacuum wave across my bed. That was not a horribly comfortable way to induce a WILD technique, and wasn't quite what I was used to. What I always used since when I was little was phasing calmly into a WILD. Also was the first time I ended up in my bedroom in a lucid dream, and wandering neighborhoods in them as well. While I had lucid dreams like this a few times as a teenager, I really hated entering a WILD like this as I had so little control over it (At first, that WILD technique really frightened me, and I would sleep somewhere else to get the more comforting WILD entries I had since I was a young child).
As a result, because I had enough expertise in the WILD technique, I was able to finally teach myself a new WILD technique at that age. I would command my awareness to go from real life into my dream body in a lucid dream, and then I could take complete control of myself from there in my lucid dream. I learned new and different ways to control my lucid dreams as a teenager as well. For example when I would use my lucid dreams while I was asleep in class to listen to the lecture, because those sleep pills didn't wear off in time before my morning classes.

I am also extremely phobic of turning into a ghost, and would prefer not to think about turning into one (my point of view of what turning into a ghost would feel like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DItZQEqr9KU ). Lucid dreaming sounds so much safer.

First off it is very responsible of you to warn people before explaining this method. I say this because what you've described can be horrifying. This is not always the case but has been for myself. I've suffered from sleep paralysis & night terrors my whole life & it's exactly as you described. From the hallucinations to shaking myself awake where it almost felt like I was having a seizure. Part of the reasons for these episodes is probably from waking & falling asleep multiple times during the night which I've done alot & sounds like one of the steps you're describing. As I've told other users on this forum many of my dreams when this has happened have come true so I don't believe that this amounts to some cheap parlor trick although what I'm describing may be totally different than what you are talking about. As in what I'm experiencing may not be astral projection. It just struck similar tones with my experiences. Some people may inclined to believe that I'm crazy or lying but to me this is very real & has been backed up by witnesses. I'm very interested in whether anyone else has experienced this also.

You don't have to turn into a ghost to be experiencing specific things in a dream or lucid dream. The laws of probability allow you to experience these things in a dream or a lucid dream. Depending on whether the odds are in your favor or not depends on whether you will experience it, and it can even determine how many times you'll experience it. We all know any of these events in this video could actually happen as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aK4-F_4EzwU
