/ Keep trying. Its only subconscious and conscious beliefs over flying which are stopping you
/ yes its easy to fall back into a regular dream state and loose your lucidity. One often needs to work at keeping oneself lucid. You can do that by asking yourself and answering questions about yourself from real life at times. Keep your waking consciousnesses there.
/ They arent necessarily dull cause it is your first few dreams.
/ The DCs are yourself and your own subconsciousness, you trying to sabortage it. Ive never had my DCs do any such thing.
/ As to what you should do.. no one else can tell you what you'd enjoy most to try or do in your next LD. Have a long think about it and of what you want to do. I have so many different things I want to do, I dont think I'll ever get bored of LD.

About your first question, i can suggest what i do. Even during "waking life" i imagine a lot me flying. Try to imagine you're flying, over several scenarios... It's good to imagine it. When you dream, flying will be very easy. You'll just have to remember what you have imagine it and you'll be flying easy.
