How to relax very quickly!

guess what! i found an easier way to relax when starting from cold! ok here is how you do it: first, ly down in a comfortable sleeping postion cos u have to do this before going to sleep. tense ur toes 3 times, then go up. tense ur toes and calf 3 times. then your toes,calf/whole leg 3 times. the toes,calf/whole leg, bottom 3 times. then the toes,calf/whole leg, bottom, hands. then the toes,calf/whole leg, bottom, hands/whole hand. comtinue this with the main body parts until you tense your whole body 3 times. after ur done, your gonna feel so relaxed!!!

Hmm... OK :mrgreen: may I ask, how do you exactly tense your calves xD I can't do it!

neither could i on my first (more like many XD) try, but i found out that if you bend your knees, ur likely to tense ur calfs unlike if they were straight :) hope this helped!

Try to pull your whole foot to lay flat on your shin. This isn't actually possible but the attempt will strain the muscles in your calves, stretching. Then just try to flex that area till you feel it.

Take a deep breath. Let more oxygen into your total body. You'll feel refreshed and calm totally. It eases out all stress and frustrations. It doesn't require much effort

Just being quite and doing my favorite things like having a good cup of tea or browsing most of all getting my chores done is a perfect relaxation for me. The thought that my work is done atlast helps me to be relaxed.

Isn't it funny how something as simple as relaxing ourselves is such a task.... :lol: I always find that so strange.
I usually lay down in a relaxed position and start at my feet..completely relaxing them and continue to do this for each section of my body until each part feels almost a bit numbed.I find that my whole body will feel like a lifeless ragdoll lol....but it works for me.Once my body is totally relaxed like this I try to picture what I want to dream about.I usually end up dreaming about something totally different than I planned uugghhhh!!!! But the relaxing the mind and body,well at least I manage to do that right.... :lol: Gotta start somewhere I guess.....thanks for the tip.Every bit helps,everyone is different in what works for them.Relaxing is never the easiest thing for most...and the ones who can relax easily,well,I'm just jealous :lol:

That relaxation technique is a well known one called "progressive relaxation" (one starts either from the toes working up the body or from parts of the head and relaxing body parts going down).
The only thing to fear is the fear itself
