I'm finding there are big differences when doing WILD depending on how much sleep I've had. Anything before 5 hours of sleep is pretty much impossible. After 7 hours I'm finding it easy to get in, but the dreams are shallow and poor quality. This morning after 7 1/2 hours of sleep I had 2 in a row, very easy to go in. But they were each less than 2 minutes with semi-transparent visuals although good touch sensation. Overall the quality was poor and unstable. Wondering if anyone else experiences this and interested in the details.

Im the same with that observation you made and in recent times have been trying to do WILD before I've had any sleep at all. Thou I was getting into WILD 50% of time and start to get into a dream.. it was being EXTREMELY HARD to stabilize the dream so I was trying to master that (an issue I had no problems with at all if doing LDs a different way). So for me.. possibly easier to have a LD? (I didnt go back to my old way of doing things to compare well) but much much harder to stay in one.

Same here but the exception is that afternoons are good if I am tired, I seem to get into REM very fast when exhausted and napping
