Too long if you ask me!

It took me 6 months, although I really didn't work hard until the last 3. It takes a lot of effort, it's worth it of course. A lot of strong intent and will power.
Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world? Morpheus

I'm trying for 2 weeks already and I try really hard but I don't suceed! When I'm visualising and trying to put my body to sleep, my mind becomes more and more awake, so as a result I can't fall asleep at all. I don't know what to do :o

i've had several lucid dreams as a kid and it was just about 1 and a half years ago when i read that there is a name for it.
right on the first night after reading about it on the web i tried WBTB and it worked just fine!
i didn't know a lot about stabilizing and stuff (at one point i lost lucidity for some seconds) but i managed to try out flying (which was more like giant jumps) and lucidity lasted about 5-10 dream-minutes.

looking back and comparing to other people's experiences i'm really happy with the result but when i woke up the other day i was a little frustrated by my level of awareness.
☺ nice, you are a curious one! come, follow me into the rabbit hole if you want to: http://lost-and-fun.tumblr. com/

I've been having LD's since i was a young boy but i did not know that it had that name nor that was so much more than that. So i started LDing by my own, by accident i guess.
Only about 6 months ago i started to read, comment, watch videos about this.

It took me 5 days, but for some people it can take 3 - 21. Make sure you practice RC and recording your dreams because you could be having a LD every night but not remembering it.
Good luck,
Dream on.
