You may be able to go into a LD from an awake state if you are able to allow yourself to go very deep into a meditative state or just allow your mind to drift while staying aware. If all else has failed, it could help.
If you havent tried it already.. dream yoga too some of us find helps. eg using a mantra with breathwork. There is still probably a lot of methods you havent tried and make sure you try a method for a couple of weeks before giving up on it to try another.
