Why all the nightmares?

Postby azsxdc321 » 24 Jul 2013 18:12

Everytime I fall asleep after thinking about lucid dreaming or repeat something while I fall asleep, I always get a nightmare. An evreytime I realize it's a nightmare I open my eyes and I'm awake. Why does this happen?

I can't actually tell you why it's happening, but I can tell you that it might be a bit more common than what you think.

You say that once you open your eyes, you're awake? That's somewhat similar to how people run around screaming, "I'M LUCID! I'M LUCID!" and then wake up, wouldn't you say? The suggestions given to them are always things like, Try to calm down and Just focus on the "dreaming" part. Maybe that's what you need to do, too. If you can halt your emotions for a bit, try to calm down, rub your hands together or just focus on the fact that you're dreaming, then in time you shouldn't keep waking up.

Now, when it comes to the nightmare itself, once you're in control, you can either choose to confront the demons or whatever it is that is haunting your dreams, or you can hop on a flying motorcycle and drive to somewhere more pleasant.

Try to have a bit of hope that you can do it, and in time. . . . :)
