Need help: Evey time I try to lucid dreaming I face insomnia

Postby Mozox » 24 Sep 2013 21:05

Guys can anybody help me to overcome the insomnia
it comes to me every time I try to sleep to get a lucid dream
I also tried hardly to lucid dreaming in the half sleeping way
but when my mind is about to start dreaming I start getting nervous that's prevents me from getting any kind of dream and keeps me awake
I'v bin trying to lucid dreaming for months and there is still no any progress
lucid dreams only comes to me rarely by coincidence
like a time I was dreaming and I saw my self flying then I noticed I was dreaming so I decided to meet someone and it came
then I start touching it
then suddenly I woke up and then I found my self inside another dream but I didn't know that
I got very happy in the out side dream and said "hay I had my first lucid dream!"
and then I really woke up
lol
that's the only lucid dream that I ever truly had

Sounds like you need to work on whatever is causing this anxiety you have over LD. Secondly if trying to WILD is causing anxiety like this, I strongly suggest to try another LD method instead.
The only thing to fear is the fear itself

i, too, think that you probably should try other techniques. for example, like Seoaros suggested, SSILD or maybe simple WBTB.
in fact, i guess every form of MILD would be better for you, since in my opinion it's easier to overcome the excitement of realizing it's a dream, than to overcome the excitement you described.
but then, you can only know for yourself.

anyway, here's the link Seoaros was talking about: http://cosmiciron.blogspot.co.at/2013/01/senses-initiated-lucid-dream-ssild_16.html
you can learn everything you need for SSILD there.

about the second part of your post:
in case you don't know; that's called a 'false awakening'
you can read more about that here: http://world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/false-awakenings.html

also, like Seoaros mentioned: dream-journals can be very helpful tools, since they usually boost one's dream-recall. if you're not keeping one, try it out!

have fun!
☺ nice, you are a curious one! come, follow me into the rabbit hole if you want to: http://lost-and-fun.tumblr. com/
