Kman43759's Lucid Dreaming Journey

Postby Kman43759 » 24 Mar 2014 15:44

Hey everybody! This thread is all about my Lucid Dreaming journey and im going to be doing updates and asking questions here and posting my experiences, anyway I made this thread to help motivate me to Lucid Dream and for fun! Feedback is encouraged! Somebody else on this forum made a thread like this and I really liked the idea so I decided to make one! Anyway here is my first updates

March 24, 2014
Just got back into Lucid Dreaming... Ive been having some really bad luck, my Dream Recall has been getting really bad, I dont even remember enough to write down in the morning, I dont think ive remebered a dream in 4 days ugh anyway last night I think the reason I didn't remember much is because I didn't get back from the airport till freakin 1:00 in the morning so I had a really deep sleep
So tonight hopefully I wont sleep so deep and maybe ill even have my first LD in a while :D! Ive been doing RC's and ADA (All Day awareness) and ive started doing some meditation so anyway tonight I may try to WBTB idk, if anybody has any feedback or suggestions to help thatd be cool ;)

Update for Kman43759's Lucid Dreaming Journey

Postby Kman43759 » 25 Mar 2014 17:11

25 March, 2014

Last night I tried WBTB, I set my alarm clock for 4:00AM and played puzzle games on my ipod to stimulate my mind for about 40 mins and then I went back to bed and had my first LD in months! Sadly I didn't remember alot but this was still a big step for me so heres basically what I remember
"I remember being in a mall and becoming Lucid, I THINK i went straight into the dream Lucid but I dont remember. My friend Sam was there, "Hey, im dreaming" I told him. After I told him this he said "Cool" and then he got really hostile and tried to kill me It's almost like my SubC doesn't like it when I become Lucid... Because DC's seem to not be to happy when I find out im dreaming, anyway, when my friend started to throw some punches and kicks, my dream powers started to work for the first time I can remember. I threw a punch back and he went flying, I forget some things that happened at one point... But at one point of the fight I remember punching the floor out beneath him and he fell... I cannot remember anything else about the dream but I THINK I one the fight but idk. Anyway this was a pretty cool dream :)

Future dream goals:
• Improve the clarity and make it last longer
•Try to find my DG... I met him in one LD and have not seen him since
•Change the scenery

My dream recall is pretty good, :D mainly because most of my friends lucid dream (we all do it naturally somehow us lucky ducks) and we all wake up and immideatly tell each other the dreams we had, and I repeat it to about 4 different friends, I don't even write them down usually!

Kman43759's LD Journey Update: RC FAILED!?

Postby Kman43759 » 29 Mar 2014 01:50

Well I havent had any more LD's since the last one but heres the thing that ticked me off... Last night I had a dream and I was on a plane going home from my vacation when I realized, wait... Didn't I already get back? So I plugged my nose and tried breathing and it worked!!! So I thought "I dont believe im dreaming cause this seems so real" so I did another RC and it didnt work! I did quite a few RC's but the weird thing is my nose was stuffed in the dream and when I woke up, my nose was stuffed, so im thinking MAYBE the reason it was failing was because my nose was stuffed... Probably not but ugh I have NO IDEA what I was thinking after that first RC xD Anyway ive just been doing ADA and RC's lately so I will probably have an LD tonight because I came so close last night.
I have one question... What should I do if this happens again where the RC works but I still dont think im dreaming? I think maybe Ill just have a backup RC, that should help
Btw could somebody send me a link to a good guided meditation that will help me increase my self awareness? Thanks

nooo.. I always tell people to not do another reality check if the first works, that should be all your goal should be..to get one working reality check which wouldnt be possible in real life. I see time and time again people doing a second one "just to make sure I are actually dreaming".. and usually they seem to then fail. (I think I read someone doing this here about once every 2-3 weeks). They fail cause you've doubted!! and then this doubt is symbolised in a failed reality check.

You need to get into your mind that if a reality check works.. it means you are dreaming!! No maybes.. No hesitation.. If a check leaves you feeling any confusion.. count it as if you are dreaming as you will be. (You would not get confused with a reality check done in real life..so use that confusion as a dreaming sign).

Think about this and get this programmed into your mind.

You need to also get into your mind that dreams can be so real that they can feel just like reality.. so something feeling like reality doesnt mean you arent dreaming... so that you arent surprised and doubt your experience when it occurs. (so think a bit about that too).

Btw could somebody send me a link to a good guided meditation that will help me increase my self awareness? Thanks

to improve self awareness.. practice it at times during your daily life.. try to observe all your can about yourself.. not only that I suggest also right afterwards to observe deeply your surroundings too. This can help increase your awareness and self awareness.

Best luck.

Hey Kman! I love this thread, you should keep going! I want to see your progress and how long it takes you to get back into this, it really is inspiring!

I am coming up with a better way to do RC's. First, tell yourself "This is a Dream", even if it's reality. Believe it for a short while. Then, try to confirm your belief by doing a reality check (I find trying to push your fingers through your hand is much more reliable). Tell yourself like a computer, "Confirm or Disprove?" That should get you to believe the authenticity of your RC's much better.
...You think that's air that you're breathing?

Kman's LD Journey: 5 days - No Results, REM rebound

Postby Kman43759 » 18 Jul 2014 20:05

Thanks! Yeah, im going to start posting more frequently here. And that RC idea sounds like it could work!

July/18/2014

Attempted to SSILD last night... Results: huge failure. I dont think SSILD is right for me. Its been 5 days since I got back into LD'ing and ive had no successes - BUT I think my dream recall may be getting better, so oh well. I want to track how long it takes to have my first LD after taking a break from LD'ing and then next time i take a break and come back ill track how long it takes and compare the results, last time I think it took 2 weeks.
Last night I set an alarm for 4:00 but I never fell back to sleep cuz I suck at sleeping :/ BUT I think I may have set myself up for an REM rebound since I was awake for 60% of REM

Techniques being used: RC's, ADA, DJ, WBTB, Reading this forum ALOT
Goals: Visit SkyMall(A place in my dreams)
Make a consistent dream environment
Complete a Task Of The Month on Dreamviews
