KungFuPanther's lucid dream journey

Postby KungFuPanther » 21 Jul 2014 21:13

Inspired by Kman43759.

Okay, before I start here, let me say that last week I did some things that I probably shouldn't have, and got a warning for it. So, from now on my goal here is to be as calm and cool as possible, while still maintaining a dogmatic attitude towards my goal.

Last night, 7/20/14. I went to bed at 10:00. I had no trouble falling asleep as I have been feeling sleep deprived all week, and forced myself to refrain from deviating from my normal sleep schedule (about 9:30 pm to 7:00 am). I used no methods, trying to take a break from the topic of lucid dreaming and managed to forget about it nearly all day. I was awoken at around 5 but quickly fell back asleep. Shortly after I was in a dream, and once someone asked me what time it was I checked my watch (which is currently broken irl) and saw a bunch of flickering numbers. I concentrated hard for them to stabilize and they did, momentarily, but that's when I realized I was dreaming. Because I had taken that day off from training, I forgot my main goal, to obtain enhanced clarity in a lucid dream. So I tried flying through the roof, but I only cracked it a little. I then woke up to what I later found out was a false awakening.

Current lucid dream count: 1 (more than one year in)
Objectives: enhance clarity, increase RC's
Goal: Another lucid dream tonight

Considering its length, yes. Regarding the topic of becoming aware? no. Still, thirty seconds is a meager amount of time and the quality wasn't that great, so I still have a lot of work to do. Hopefully I can get back in there tonight.

Last night. 7/22/14. I went to bed at 8-ish. I had a lot of vague dreams, but enough to remember the majority of it. Nothing really significant, Something about me trying to pull up some musical score on the internet but I couldn't find it. And something about Eurovision. But I never watch that.

I woke up pretty early last time so I'm going to go to bed earlier. If I can stay in the dream longer than perhaps I will succeed. Goodnight everyone, see you tonight.

Last night. 7/23/14. I went to bed at 8:00. One hour earlier than I usually do. That was all I needed. No techniques, just an hour earlier.

This morning. 7/24/14. About thirty minutes ago. I had a dream that I was a James Bond style MI6 agent trying to save the UK from disaster. I was driving cars through major cities and running through country landscapes. A thousand "bobbies" are on my tail and they had caught up to me, so my only choice is to fight them off. No matter how hard they tried, they just couldn't get a hold of me. I used Aikido, Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, everything that I have used in real life in preparation for a moment like this. Until they amount of cops multiplied and all grabbed me at once.

So, I'm taken to the back of a police car but I break out of my cuffs, and use a back hand strike with my watch to break the window. I keep feeling this strange feeling that something isn't right... there's something wrong with the environment.... Anyway, I escape and make it to a safe haven. As I talk to the people I can trust there, I feel my body in my bed. I try to ignore it as I have been doing for a while, but then I realize that I'm dreaming! I don't need to do a reality check, I just work on increasing the clarity (which was already great). With this endeavor of great pitch and moment I find the answer to the question I've been asking. Lucid dreams really are as clear as waking day. They are like memories that you actually lived. It's greater than I could have imagined.

Anyway, after a few attempts of flying and teleporting to another dreamscape I kept waking up, and finally woke up fully.

So, my objectives:
*Maintain the dreamstate (practice the spinning method)
*Go to bed early
*More reality checks
Goal: One lucid dream again tonight
Current count: 2 lucid dreams.

Thank you everybody for helping me, this is literally the most dreams I have had that close together. I feel like a master now because of your help XD

I'm using your method kinda, Kman. I usually get very tired during the day and take a nap, but I stopped doing that and I won't let myself go back to doing that until I am a master at this. Oh, and after about a week of following a rigid sleep schedule, go to bed an hour or two earlier. It worked for me, so I don't imagine why it wouldn't work for you.

Oh, and I"m doing rc's like crazy. Spend like fifteen minutes of just being aware of your environment away from distractions and do about one rc every 30-60 seconds. That pretty much sets your mindset for the rest of the day.

Do you reckon if you did that during WBTB (the reality checking every minute or so) that it would cross over into your dreams? Like you'd subconsciously be more likely to do a reality check if you'd just done a load right before you went back to sleep? I might have to try this out... ;)

Nice one on the 2nd LD too btw, it looks like you're making progress in leaps and bounds now!
