Can't wait to have my first real lucid dream!

Postby mistressmimzay » 21 Aug 2014 02:12

Hi guys! I've been interested (obsessed) in lucid dreaming ever since I had my first taste of it, a few years ago. I dreamt about a boy I know and he was flirting with me. I instantly knew I was dreaming because this boy never showed any interest in me and it seemed weird. When I realized I was dreaming, I got really excited and the first thing I thought was: ''Man, I could fly!'' So I tried to fly but it was more like I was boucing in the air from the ground. I got spooked then I woke up.

I've been reading about lucid dreams ever since and hopelessly tried to relive this experience by doing reality checks during the day but I never achieved. I tried meditation but I have a hard time keeping my focus. Do you have any advice?
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one

I don't fly well in lucid dreams either, but I jump very high. I can relate to your bouncing from the ground feeling.

So you're trying to meditate and focus your thoughts and having trouble?
Maybe you're thinking too much about that flirtatious boy!

Just Kidding! :D ( I have no meditation advice, and that's not my strong point, but maybe someone else will help). I'm just the welcoming committee in my own odd way.
If we all lucid dreamed this world would be a better place.

Have you tried the "Wake Back To Bed" (WBTB) technique? I heard it has a 60% of working each time you do it. It is very easy and worked the first time I did it.

@HAGART: You make an awesome welcome committee I must say ;)
I would love to hear from you own experiences if you wanna chat sometime :)

@nesgirl: Thank you very much for your great tips. I have already started doing reality checks and I rubb my hands one in a while during the day even thought I look like a lunatic haha!

@Alien874: I haven't tried the WBTB method but I've read about it. I have to get up really early in the morning all the time so I would have to set up my alarm in the middle of the night if I wanna try this method...

Hey there, LucidityMaster here,

Your first lucid dream is a very memorable experience. I still remember my first lucid dream.

My favourite method is the DEILD technique.

Have you tried the DEILD technique? This can multiply your lucid dreaming frequency by a factor of five.

Here are the steps to DEILD:

1- when you feel your dream fading, spin around like a little child

2- remain completely still with eyes closed

3- you may find yourself entering another lucid dream.

If you want any more tips, don't be hesitant to ask.

I can induce 5 lucid dreams a night.

Yes, I received both of them, and wrote a reply, which I guess was sent to your alternate email address.

That's why I didn't reply earlier. I rarely check my alternate email address.
