Mistress Mimzay Here :)

Postby mistressmimzay » 22 Aug 2014 01:37

Well hello there :)

My name is Marie Michelle (everyone calls me Mimi or Mimzay), I am 22 (born March 21st 1992) and I live in Quebec, Canada. I've been interested in lucid dreaming ever since I had my first bit of experience, a few years ago. I got lucid for a few moments in a dream (but I got excited, tried to fly, got spooked and woke up) and I've been recalling it and thinking about it all the time since then. I've been trying to make it happend again by doing reality checks and trying to focus on it before sleeping, but it didn't work.

I discovered this amazing website a few days ago and read almost all of it. I read a lot of posts on the forum too, and I am amazed. You guys are very open-minded and truly wonderful people. I can't wait to share experiences with you all.

Thank you LucidityMaster! You seem to be very advanced with lucid dreaming, I'd love to learn from you. Nice to know you're a Canadian, too! But I bet you're not a French Canadian like me haha!

Actually, I am half French Canadian.

My father was born in Quebec. I am also half German.

I am from British Columbia.

I have been practicing lucid dreaming for six years, and am happy to answer any questions you have.

First I must ask you, are you a DILDer, or a WILDer? just wondering....

It's okay if you are not familiar with these acronyms yet.

DILD- Dream Initiated Lucid Dream - you become lucid while the dream is in progress

WILD- Wake Initiated Lucid Dream- you become lucid before the dream even forms.

Hey LucidityMaster :)

So do you speak french a little?

It's hard to say if I'm a DILDer or a WILDer since I only experienced lucid dreaming once, and for only a few seconds. But it definately was a DILD.

Hey Mimi,

You might want to experiment with DILD first, before progressing into more advanced WILD techniques.

I would recommend MILD- Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams

You can also combine this with the intention-reflection technique.

Stephen LaBerge used MILD to lucid dream at will.

And I took French until grade 11, so I only speak a little bit of French.

But anyways, if you have any questions about these methods, just ask.

Merci :)

I've tried Mnemonic Induction but as I told you, I have a really hard time staying focused, my mind wanders and I need to start over and it's so frustrating. I guess it'll get better with more practice.

Je ne peux pas parler français.

I'm a fellow Canuck from Kingston, Ontario, and I had to look that phrase up on the internet just to spell it right. I only know French words from reading cereal boxes. My 2nd language skills is at par to a 5 year old! (I don't even get my 1st language right!) ;)

It doesn't matter. Dreaming and ideas and conceptions stem from a part of our minds that don't need a language, if you know what I mean. :ugeek:

Most won't get this, but I was just watching Just For Laughs Gags, I mean, "Juste pour rire: Gags", and I don't understand something. Since the show's been on for so long, and it's mostly filmed in Quebec, wouldn't people recognize those phony cops by now!?

(Speaking of language, that show is popular world wide across borders and cultures because of one thing: No words.) :ugeek:
If we all lucid dreamed this world would be a better place.

Hey Haggart

I love the show Just For Laughs: Gags, it never gets old!

By the way, have you been keeping a dream Journal and performing reality checks, Mimi?

Hey HAGART, nice to talk to you again :) You're absolutely right, I never thought of it that way. Thanks for opening my eyes!

LucidityMaster: I never did, but I was gonna start this week-end anyway.
