Your experiences with SSILD

Postby Alien874 » 10 Sep 2014 03:35

Stories of how you got lucid(or not) with the SSILD technique. I have started to do this technique and read about it, it sounds strange to me that you could just be laying there in bed using the technique, then get hypnagogia and then the dream starts at the same place and position as you where when you got to sleep in real life.

Hey there Alien874,

I just wanted to wish you good luck with the experiment.

I have never actually tried SSILD. I use a different hybrid method called SSCR.

I think a WBTB MILD DEILD SSILD combo is an excellent choice.

The very first time I tried SSILD I had a lucid dream! It was a DILD but as SSILD is a hybrid it can produce both types of LD. However since then, I haven't had much luck with the technique-it tends to make me fall asleep very quickly though, so I sometimes just do it to help falling asleep! ;)
