My Dream Character Interview

What have you learned from your dream characters? What do they say, what do they represent, what motivates them, why do they exist?

You're right. He only ever said, "Yes."
He never did say the exact words, "This is a dream."
SO technically he was correct!

He was a sly one.

Fascinating id like to have more conversations with my DC's. I like how he got caught up and actually said something then went back on what he said haha!

ME: Do you know it is a dream?
THEM AT THE SAME TIME: Yes. (The way they said it, they were reluctant to admit it. As if I had taken the wind out of their sails. They were no longer upbeat and jovial).

ME: Do you know who I am?
THE PASSENGER SIDE: Yea, your the guy who just came in here!
(They both laugh at me) (I get the joke, but it's on me and I'm not amused.)

Me: Do you know anybody at all? (I already feel stupid saying it because they obviously know each other).

......

I agree thou that ones mood at the time often does affect how DCs can be responding, ones actions too in a dream will strongly cause how they interact.

I think I know that one of the reasons why I can hardly get my DCs to talk to me is cause I feel doubtful they are going to. This is cause of how they've been in the past (originally when I first started interacting with DCs I did expect them to talk back to me but they didnt want too, so this idea is now almost ingrained that they probably wont talk to me). So I probably just keep this situation often happening in my dreams due to my doubts that they will want to talk.

I end up very surprised at the times I can have a decent conversation with one of them.

This thread is so great!

I have had some involved conversations with these guys.
One was named James and he was a student at Cambridge. Talked with him for quite a while about art and music. Then I said,
"Hey James, what do you think... are we in reality right now?"
James says... "what do you mean?"
I said, "Like, do you think one of us might be dreaming?"
James looks around nervously. "I just remembered I really wanted to eat a hot dog." Walks away.

LOL!

It seems like dream folks react in much the same way as 'waking life' folks when I engage them in this sort of discussion. ;)

I will keep trying!
