Maybe you could have nutrition fed to you via an IV. Or have your body shut down by some kind of cryotherapy. If you spent the first twenty or fourty years of your life trying to earn precisely enough money to purchase a little bunker fueled to give you a lifetime (or whatever remains of your life) of perpetual lucid dreaming, until you die, that would be a life-plan most people would go for. Just earn enough to live perpetually within a pod. In fact, if you were even moderately rich, there would be no reason to ever step outside of a LaBerge Incubator, except to purchase more energy for your pod...

That's another question I have, Traz--what's cryogenics like in the future? Is it possible at all?

I didn't say asexuality is weird, nesgirl. I said your insistence upon the subject could be weirding Enra out. Just like she'd be freaked out if I insisted on talking about sex and ask questions about the porn industry in the future.

deschainXIX, I get your point about the incubators. I'd want to live in lucid dreamland forever too. I want to see what lies Enra will come up with next. :-D

Me, me, me, right nesgirl? Lol...

Yeah, what I find particularly interesting about this entire thing is that Enra Traz assumes we will just up and accept anything she says. What's her game, here, exactly? She doesn't really make any attempt to convince us. Other than the president thing--which doesn't prove a thing.

Enra Traz,
Quen Lev, a renowned quantum physicist of our time
Annail, the first human clone

One thing I've noticed is that 198 years from now names sure change a lot! They haven't changed that much since 1816, 198 years ago, so I wonder why names become so new and different than ones we have today.
If we all lucid dreamed this world would be a better place.

^^^ ! Even when we grant time travel, we keep finding insurmountable gaping plot-holes everywhere.

Perhaps an argument to refute that (or at least excuse it as a realistic problem), though, would be that, with trans-global technological innovations, there will be an exponentially-increasing rate of transfer of information all over the world, the melting of ethnocentrism (the geoanthropological concept of distance decay), and a few other things that result in a higher dynamism of culture, lexicon, and indeed the etymology of names. This has already been observed since the invention of the internet. The contortions of culture are insane these days, in comparison to what's gone on since 1816! Many Europeans and Americans took names from the Bible around then. Fewer and fewer people, these days, will feel that same compulsion their fathers and mothers did (sorry to bring religion into it; that's just something that occurred to me and I wanted to say it).

I'm just playing devil's advocate here, though. Totally valid point you made. We'll see how Traz will explain it.

Also Enra says that she can't go back in time beyond the day that the time machine was invented. So I'm trying to picture it.

Someone just recently completed making one in our time and a moment later she and her team stepped out. I would love to see the look on the inventors' faces. There must be witnesses and it didn't just happen in the middle of a forest, but in a lab somewhere. I'm sure it will make the cover of science magazines and we will be hearing about it soon on the news for this is a revolutionary discovery. If it's a government secret, however, I doubt they would allow these strange future beings to just waltz out of the lab. They were probably interrogated and are under constant surveillance. I'm not sure what country this time machine is built in, but given Enra's language skills, it must be an English speaking one, and she predicted the future president of America, so I am assuming Enra is American. I have no doubt that the C.I.A. is monitoring this thread and I fear for Enra's safety.
If we all lucid dreamed this world would be a better place.

The names are really strange. Fuck knows how much things have changed, progressed or devolved. And I bet the rate at which things changed all the way to 2212 isn't comparable to gradual historical change up until now. I think deschainXIX made some good points and pointed out very relevant facts.

If we grant that Enra Traz is a time traveller, which would mean that our current physicists know fuck all and we much less, we also have to consider Hagart's scenario. What if the powers that be of this time are after Enra et al?

This is getting really exciting! Do you guys reckon this could make the Forum more popular? Do you reckon this could be as big as the John Titor case? Fuck, we could even get mentioned on Wiki: "members of WOLD by the names of Summerlander, Hagart, deschainXIX, nesgirl etc. were the first to question potential time traveller..." :-)

Enra Traz, you are welcome and you are precious, my friend. I'm starting to believe you...I believe! I believe! I have faith in you! Hurry up and post! Your answers are divine! Give us your revelation! Grant us your prophecies! All hail Enra Traz, the time traveller! :-D
