Im New and I would Love Some Tips

Hello everyone, im new here i learned about lucid dreaming about a year ago and i had my first one then.... unfortunately i kinda gave up on it and now im trying to learn for real. Does anyone have any helpful tips? All help is welcome :)

ps. I am currently writing down my dreams and trying to do reality checks as often as possible.

Thank you Jasmine :D I have already done a lot of research on the topic so i have happened across the articles and the dream exchange but i will be sure to check out Robert Waggoner's book. I really appreciate the feedback.

Honestly, the first time I began to lucid dream I remember that before I would fall asleep I would think of practicing to fly and it worked. It's sort of like how they say to take a fresh look at your notes before you go to sleep so the next day it's fresh in your mind for your exam.

I have tried the subconscious programming thing... it didn't really work well but i will try the flying thing it might help a lot :D thanks
