Strange dream

Postby Jack Reacher » 03 Mar 2012 22:29

Yeah, most dreams are strange but this one stuck out to me. I was dreaming I was coaching at my tennis club as usual, but for some reason time started to slow down a lot. Everyones voices became really deep and slow, and I kinda got a little freaked out. I started mouthing "Everything is slooow!!" but no one would listen. I started jumping on weird obstacles because time was so slow, I could pull off stunts I usually wouldnt dare to try even while dreaming.

Then things got too intense, too blurry, and I woke up. But I woke up in darkness, I didnt wake up with my eyes open. In fact im pretty sure I was in sleep paralysis, I couldnt feel my body and I couldn't move it. I have never woken up into sleep paralysis before, was a strange feeling. Eventually it wore off though.

I've had slow motion dreams too. Not lucid, but a dream dream.

I wasn't lucid, but everything slowed down and I looked around and was wondering what drugs I took! It would have been a good time to become lucid, but I was too immersed in the dream and just figured I had done some acid or something.

But waking up in darkness I do a lot. I try to keep my eyes closed after awakening and see where it leads me. It has only ever been after a lucid dream though, but staying in the 'darkness' can either lead to hypnagogic imagery or sleep paralysis which both lead to a lucid dream.

However, with my experience, and I don't know why, but the more violent the sleep paralysis the more vivid the lucid dream that ensues. I don't know why......... Could be just me...........
If we all lucid dreamed this world would be a better place.

Yeah this wasn't a lucid dream either. I also have lots of dreams where I slowly just get wasted, I remember making an ass out of myself in a dream and I only drank one beer ( at least thats what I was saying, i dont actually remember drinking anything) and one time I stole some opium from some chinese guy and a bar and got real wasted (never done opium before so I didnt know it was possible to even experience something like it in a dream)
