Is it possible?!

Postby KylePK » 19 May 2012 07:28

Is it possible to learn to control your body's chi flow and learn to control in better from within a lucid dream? I'm curious because Chi Kung and Lucid Dreaming are the two things I really want to master in order to better myself, and I'd love to be able to use one to help the other improve.

From my own experiences...
Anything you can do to help increase your ability to focus will help with Lucid Dreaming/Projecting. The more you can focus your consciousness within the reality you're experiencing, the longer you can remain in that reality.

What I mean by this is the more you can engage all your senses where ever you find yourself, the greater chance that you'll extend the duration of your visit there. Feel the dirt... water... smell what you can... look around, take it all in... I do this quite often and I've found that it grounds my consciousness within that reality.

For the most part, yes.
Use whatever metaphor you require which gives you the proper Intent to do it.

In your case, Chi Kung. :)

I practice Yoshinkan Aikido... and I found that my focus and concentration became greatly increased after many years of practice in the art, which has helped me in just about every aspect of my life.

What I mean is... use whatever concept you need to use in order to focus your Intent towards the thing you want to see happen.

A metaphor is a how we describe something to someone else in order for them to understand it.

In regards to lucid dreaming and astral projection, many people have many different metaphors describing the same thing. To me, dreams, lucid dreams, astral projections and obes are simply metaphors people use to describe the same event.

They're just the base way in which our language functions. It's nothing mystical.

Tom Campbell uses the term quite frequently. You should look into his videos and books. :)

Describe the same event? What event is this then, since all of these terms can be applied to this event in your opinion? And how does the idea of lucid dreaming being a metaphor for another event affect the effects that working with spiritual chi in a lucid dream would have on ones chi outside the dream?

Your either missing the point of the original question entirely, or you have created a large gap in your logic, a gap that shows how what you are trying to say relates to the original question I had lol.

You're being quite vague about what it is your trying to get at here, its making it quite difficult for me to take much knowledge away from your answers lol.

The original question was not whether I could use Chi Kung to acheive lucidity, although I may have lead you to think that was what I meant towards the ending sentence of my question which was only intended to clarify my motives.

The original question was this, and I will rephrase it so its not so foggy: Is it possible to use lucid dreaming as a means to amplify ones ability to become aware of and control the flow of chi energy within ones body outside of the dreamworld?

Basically how lucid dreaming can be used to get better at conquering fears and things like this, can it also be used to increase "spiritual energy/power" that physically manifests itself as Chi?
