Does day dreaming help?

Postby DAZ_XT950 » 28 May 2012 20:08

Having just read the "How to visualize" page on the main site, I realized that I actually day dream a lot everyday and my imagination sometimes becomes very detailed. So I am wondering if I can use this to help me WILD. If so, would it help if I did this while using WBTB?

Yes definitely!

I used to day dream A LOT as a teenager and I think this really helped me develop my visualization skills. I also used to day dream my way to sleep, which is how I started accidentally "programming" my dreams (different from lucid dreaming, but can help you set up lucidity cues).

I believe day dreamers make great lucid dreamers... 8-)

Wow. when I saw that it was you that replied to my post Rebecca, I got a really good feeling, as if I was talking to some kind of celebrity. Is that weird?

I day dream my way to sleep too, I just never really thought much about it until now. Also, is there a page about "programming" your dreams on the main site because I think I might check it out.

Thanks for the reply Rebecca.

Aww shucks! ;)
I'ts not like that, I'm just a very average human being really.

Btw, you can also use day dreaming for setting your lucid dream intention, as part of the MILD technique:

I think you'd be good at that - you can let your imagination run wild!
