PsiberDreaming Conference 2011

PsiberDreaming Conference 2011

Those of you seeking the latest in lucid dream research and philosophy will be pleased to hear about this year's upcoming PsiberDreaming Conference 2011, run by the International Association for the Study of Dream (IASD).

Now in its 10th year, the online conference attracts speakers and attendees from all over the world, since all you need is an internet connection to take part. Dream researcher Jean Campbell will host two weeks (Sept 25 - Oct 9, 2011) of cutting-edge presentations, workshops and live discussions with some top experts in the field today.

Conference Topics

This year, the biggest online event in the world of lucid dreaming will focus on the different types of lucidity. From the IASD website:

"There are many kinds of lucidity. Although "lucid dream" narrowly defined is a dream in which the dreamer is aware of dreaming, all dreams are a form of lucid awareness, linking together different aspects of consciousness. Just remembering a dream when we wake is one kind of lucidity; successfully incubating one on a chosen theme or question is another; the "aha" of a meaningful interpretation is another. And then there's meditation, trance states, lucid living... This conference will highlight lucid dreaming (as classically defined) and its role in psi dreaming, while broadening the meaning of lucidity to embrace every way that one form of consciousness helps shed light on another."

Dream Art Gallery

As always, a fun and unusual attraction of the event is the PsiberDreaming Art Gallery - a place for international artists and dreamers to submit their personal dream art for public display online. You do not need to be a professional artist to join in - and links to the previous years' art galleries will be available for all to enjoy.

How to Register

To attend the online conference from anywhere in the world, register at the IASD website now. New members of the IASD (by Oct 9th) can attend for free.
