World of Lucid Dreaming Article

I recently wrote a feature article for Yoga Magazine, the UK's newest monthly title dedicated to yoga and related topics. The article appeared in the November issue in the UK, and will also appear in the December issue in the USA.

Yoga MagazineThe article is all about lucid dreaming - the techniques, the history and the science. It's one of those rare opportunities to talk about lucid dreaming in the mainstream media, introducing the concept to another 90,000 readers in the UK. I hope it will inspire more people to pursue conscious dreams and its many benefits...

Here's a short preview of the article featured in the UK edition of Yoga Magazine:

Last night I went to the moon, flew through the galaxy at the speed of thought, had dinner with Einstein, played piano with Mozart, rolled around in a meadow from my childhood, morphed into an atom, walked through walls, swam underwater without air, and travelled into the distant future. To top it off, I floated high among the clouds, observing a thousand details of an alternate reality universe, all co-existing peacefully in the unchartered territory of my subconscious brain. Oh, and it was all just as vivid as real life.

I’m not a lunatic – I’m a lucid dreamer. Ten years ago I discovered the art of lucidity; the ability to recognise when you are dreaming. This simple act causes the conscious brain to surface inside the dream, giving you complete control of your dream world. More importantly, it gives rise to heightened awareness. Everything you see, hear, feel, smell, and even taste in a lucid dream is just as real as waking life. Sometimes even more so...

To read the full lucid dreaming article, you can pick up the November issue at your local newsagent. Or you can take out a subscription via the Yoga Magazine website and receive regular yoga articles and news to your door.
