Awareness in Lucid Dreams

I'm having awareness problems in my lucid dreams. Most dreamers live their lucid dreams in a high quality akin to reality. They have almost all their cognitive capabilities in real life, and they can see and live their dream like it's real. I can't seem to do that. I tried the 'clarity now' command ...

Re: Funny (but not for me) Dream Story

Ha that's a funny but not so funny dream story. XP I actually had a similar dream to this. I went to bed two hours later than normal and accidentally woke up at like 4:00 and couldn't get back to sleep. Strangely, after a very long time of trying to get to sleep, I went downstairs and my whole famil...

Dream Journaling

Since winter vacation I've been slacking off with my dream journal. I haven't written in it for a long time. My dream recall is generally still good, I usually remember one or two dreams per night if I don't wake up in the middle of the night (then I remember more) The problem is, I don't write in m...

Re: RL "enemies" becoming dream friends

This is a cool dream topic! I don't really have lucid dreams relating to other people. I try to avoid dream characters, they usually just cause trouble and interrupt my lucid dream, causing me to lose lucidity. However, dream characters often play a starring role in my non lucid dreams. I don't thin...

Re: Are your lucid dreams tiring?

Nope, they've never been tiring. I find hat kind of strange, since your mind is conscious in your sleep. Wouldn't that deprive you of unconscious sleep? My lucid dreams are actually the opposite of tiring. I have trouble getting out of bed in the mornings but it's actually easier after I lucid dream...

Re: Waking up in a dream

This is called a false awakening and it's very common for lucid dreamers. False awakenings can be resolved by doing a reality check first thing after you wake up. You will realize you're dreaming and your false awakening will turn into a lucid dream.

Re: False awakenings helping dream recall

Yeah, I've found I have more false awakenings after vivid dreams. Which is not always good... I had a vivid nightmare, then I had a false awakening that turned into ANOTHER vivid nightmare. Left me creeped out for awhile.

Re: Help moving from sleep paralysis to a LD

Hmmm I'm not sure if this would work but here's a possible solution: Twitch your fingers. It doesn't matter how you twitch your fingers. Just make repetitive tiny movements with them, over and over again. Feel your muscles contracting and expanding. Eventually your fingers will get fatigued and stop...

Re: How Vivid Are Your Dreams/Lucid Dreams?

Man I had a very vivid nightmare last night... *shivers* then I had a false awakening that turned into ANOTHER vivid nightmare. I reality checked in both of them, but they were so vivid it didn't work :p they were both around 8 on the scale

Re: How Vivid Are Your Dreams/Lucid Dreams?

Haha interesting question. I'm too young to drink :p I had a lucid dream of flying last night. Sometimes I wish my dreams were more vivid... In real life, if I were to fly, I would be able to feel the breeze blowing by, the fresh air beneath my feet, blah blah blah. But no, I couldn't feel all that,...
