Re: Have I just had a lucid dream?

Hello deanh89, and contrats on your lucid dream. I would say yes you were lucid in your dream, but had a low level of lucidity. I find that there are levels of lucidity. I put it on a scale of 1 to 10: 1 = you know you are dreaming but have no control over your dream. You just go along with the drea...

Re: Guns in dreams are harmless to me now!

In one of my lucid dreams I demanded that a dream character stab me in the gut. He did and I felt a mild hit to the midsection, but no pain and no wound. It was pretty funny.

Re: Dream recall help.

Hello Beginningdream. Dream recall can be difficult and often take practice and determination. I can give you some advice: First, when you lay down at night to go to sleep repeat, in your mind, that you will wake up after each dream and you will remember the dream. You have to say this will determin...

Re: Need help understanding a phrase:)

Hello LicidInTheSky (great, and very creative, name) and welcome. I'm not sure where this quote originated, but I can try to explain it. People have differing opinions regarding dream state. Personally I believe that dreams are a completely biologically natural process which happens exclusively in o...

Re: Can't sleep

Do you best to only think about lucid dreaming for a short while then try to let it go do you can sleep. Also, I have sleep issues so I take 2 valerian root capsules (herbal supplement) a couple of hours before bed. This helps me to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Re: See The Sky Technique

I managed to get lucid over the weekend with only using this "awareness technique", which includes seeing the sky. Here is my dream: Date: 5/19/18 (Saturday 5:22 AM – day off) Dream Title: (LD #75) “This is not my phone!” Dream: I find myself at church with my wife and I want to leave. I a...

Re: Sean Jacobs LD's

Well, getting lucid happened more quickly then I expected. Date: 5/19/2018 (Saturday 5:22 AM – day off) Dream Title: (LD #75) “This is not my phone!” Dream: I find myself at church with my wife and I want to leave. I am feeling annoyed & frustrated because I can’t find her, and there are many ch...

Re: How do you all stay motivated?

Great question. Staying consistently motivated is extremely difficult for me. Often it seems like a tremendous amount of work for very little return. I started pursuing lucid dreaming way back in 2004. The most LDs I've ever had in 1 year is 18 (in 2005 & 20017) which is a pathetic 1.5 LDs per m...

Re: Melatonin?

I have used Melatonin in the past, but stopped using it. It is a hormone and taking it for a long period of time can imbalance your natural melatonin production. When I did take it, it did help me sleep deeper and longer. I never noticed any major difference in how I dream. I'm tried several supplem...
