Re: How do you remember to do a reality check while dreaming?

Hi Anyar. You're question is exactly what I'm basing my current plan for lucid dreaming. The answer is, you need to do reality checks based on something that appears in your real life and your dreams. I have 2 examples where this has worked: First, earlier in my lucid dreaming journey I started doi...

How do you remember to do a reality check while dreaming?

In real life, I do a reality check whenever I think of it, which is around 8 times a day.

In my dreams, though, often times either the main character isn't even me, or I'm too busy with my dream world to remember to do a reality check.

How can I remember to check even while I'm dreaming?

Re: Is it possible to have a fake lucid dream?

Then you did have a lucid dream. I've had lucid dreams before, but haven't remembered them completely as well. One of the reasons why you should keep a dream journal. I use this website right here: www.livejournal.com And keep a dream journal on here. The reason why I never show it to anyone is bec...

Re: Is it possible to have a fake lucid dream?

If you weren't aware it was a dream, even if it was a reality check, then you weren't lucid dreaming. But if you were aware, then you were lucid dreaming. There's where I'm not sure. My memory tells me that I became lucid, yet I remember absolutely nothing after I supposedly became lucid, and my me...

Is it possible to have a fake lucid dream?

When I woke up today, the first thing I remembered was a dream. But the only things I remembered was me rubbing my hands together, supposedly becoming lucid, and that's it. I was repeating mental images of me rubbing my hands together and become lucid before I went to sleep, too. I remember it in th...

Re: Help with remembering dreams

I'm only a beginner too, but whenever I remember a dream in the most detail (relatively), it's in one of these scenarios: 1. I just woke up from a dream and immediately remember where I was before I woke. 2. I woke up, don't remember any dreams, then some time later without even trying (usually whil...

Re: A bunch of questions

During the sleep paralysis which occurs while we're dreaming we are able to control two physical functions: eye movements and breathing. Because we can still breath, it is unlikely that you will experience a 'drowning' sensation. Yes, you can feel pain in a dream. Any waking sensation can be replic...

Re: Just joined so hi :-)

Welcome back to lucid dreaming.

I'm only a beginner yet to have my first lucid dream, so I can't relate to your experiences.

I have read lots of times about words in dreams being naturally jumbled, so people may use that as a reality check.
