I only have lucid dreams randomly

I've been actively trying to lucid dream for about 4 months now. I reality check throughout the day, I've tried mugwort tea and fixed my sleeping pattern. I've chanted mantras and meditated and about 2 months in my hard work paid off; I had my first lucid dream. Since then, I've had 4 more. I have r...

Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender abilities

In my 2nd lucid dream ever (actually the last one I've had, going through a month long dry spell atm :/ still very new to all of this) I actually started fire bending the second I knew I was dreaming :) Sadly I didn't know about stabilising dreams, and also didn't even bring myself closer to the dre...

Re: Using dream location to become lucid. "Dream Hub"

This sounds really cool and it might work for some people, but I don't think it's the best method out there. Staring at a picture isn't necessarily going to make it appear in every dream, and putting something like that in your mind will take a lot of time and patience. It really could work, but it...

Using dream location to become lucid. "Dream Hub"

My brother told me about this trick he does when he lucid dreams... Tonight I'm going to begin trying it out so I've come here to gather some more info and ask if anyone else knows anything about this strange method. My brother always dreams of the same place. He told me it's a huge city split into ...

(My 2nd lucid dream ever) Last nights dream

So I'm very new to lucid dreaming, it's taken me a long time to be able to achieve lucidity and after my first lucid dream I hit a dry spell with my dream recall. Over the last week I've received a BUNCH of help from you guys here on the forums and thanks to that, last night I had a dream (the first...

Thanks Sean, I'll try that tonight for sure. I still didn't remember my dreams from last night so hopefully this trick works :)
It's amazing that we can tell our brain what to do just by willing it

Melatonin?

I have some straight up Melatonin supplements at home. They make me tired enough to go to sleep in about an hour but they also make me have really odd dreams. They are all split up and never really stick to one area for long. They are also really hard to remember and not vivid at all. Anyone else ha...

Re: Hi everyone, I'm excited to start talking to people about lucid dreaming

Thanks so much, LDer Charles :) I actually haven't been writing my dreams as soon as I remember them, I normally wait until I'm a bit more awake. I'll definitely start writing them down the second they're in my brain now. I'll squeeze it out if I have to ;D Also, is it good to read and remember old ...
