There is a girl at my school that I sometimes talk to about LD's. She's the only person I've talked to about it in person, in fear that I might get this reaction from people. We're good friends.

I sleep on my side, too. I simply find that position more comfy.

As for the throat thing, I had that problem too. I just kept my throat open so that I didn't need to swallow. (Yes, that is nasty, but it works.)

Everyone has the capacity to do it, what you really need is motivation.

Practice meditation, keep a dream journal, and practice remembering your non-lucid dreams.
