Re: Won't this prove astral projection?

Yes, but if you read some quantum physics you will see that scientists often disagree, that there are always new hypotheses and new experiments to try to prove these with varying degrees of success, requiring new experiments to be designed. Knowledge and Reality is a whole field of study on its own....

Re: what do you write in your Dream Journal

Some people use a tape recorder and then transcribe later. I've found I need to write it out fairly soon after waking. Otherwise, I start to interpret and add things that weren't there or start explaining what I think it meant instead of just the facts

Re: Who is she?

I don't think you should assume it is necessarily someone you have seen or will meet. She may be aspects of yourself that you are growing into - you regarded her with respect and a kind of awe, she was beautiful, and a woman could represent nurturing and wisdom. Maybe these are things you have insid...

Re: Won't this prove astral projection?

Well you could debate that one all day. You could present ten people with the same "facts", and they will interpret them differently according to their background, culture, religious beliefs and previous reading etc. So I don't think you can seriously say you believe in fact, not what you ...

Re: Studying is possible?

If your friend is just talking about bypassing the books, I agree with Hagart. But some people believe they have used lucid dreaming to learn or get creative ideas, e.g for art, music, lyrics etc. Some use it to find a famous person who is experienced in a particular area and talk through a problem ...

Re: Returning to the same dream

That is true. I'm pretty sure that in life and in dreams you get a second shot if you don't learn what you were supposed to. In dreams maybe the information builds up on itself in subsequent dreams. But then there are those dreams that don't exactly seem packed with insight, just experience. With ho...

Re: Returning to the same dream

Thanks. It seems less important to return to that same dream now since someone experienced in dream interpretation gave me some insight into what it was all about - allowing illumination and really seeing what is there, whether awake or dreaming (which is discussed somewhere else on here) and what i...

Re: Ages

Late starter here too. I'm 51. Had lucid dreams as a kid, but only realised recently that it is possible to learn how to induce them and go in with clear intentions. When my teenage son saw me reading a book on Lucid Dreaming he revealed that he and friends had been trying to do it for ages.

Re: "stuck" in dreams

Robert Wagonner described this happening once. He had a number of false awakenings. Each time he "woke" there was something different about his room (curtains, bedside table, lamp etc) so he woke to a different reality. After it happened a few times in a row, he panicked. But then he relax...
