That sounds like a scene from The Wizard of Oz. The book; it never made it into the movie.

My problem is not losing lucidity but staying asleep

Whenever I attain lucidity, I almost immediately start to feel myself wake up. Certain techniques like waving my hands around or concentrating have helped me to stay in the dream for longer. I never go from a lucid state to a non-lucid state - I always just wake up. I was wondering if anyone else ha...

Re: Spinning in Lucid Dreams

I've found that waving my hands around while flying helps me stay in the dream. I don't know if you need to be flying first, though. Also, while flying, I've found sometimes that if I touch down, I feel the bed underneath me and start to wake up. So some of my early lucid dreams were spent desperate...

Re: 500 things to do in a LD (updated)

As far as super powers go, I've flown like Superman many times (not always lucid). I've dreamt I was Spiderman and The Thing (from the Fantastic Four). It was really cool walking on walls as Spiderman! And as The Thing, I absorbed a blast from a Skrull laser cannon.

Re: I had my first lucid dream!!!

Congratulations on your first lucid dream. It sounds like you really enjoyed it. I just had one this morning myself, and it was an exhilarating experience. It wasn't my first one, but the first really good one in a while.

Metal was my friend, until it betrayed me

After the fifth or sixth false awakening in a row, I finally realized I was dreaming. I immediately opened up a window and started flying over the landscape. Within about five seconds the dream started to fade and I started to wake up, but I moved my hands rapidly and managed to reenter the dream. A...

Re: WILD I Keep Falling Asleep!!!

I've been trying to WILD for the past few nights but all I end up doing is feeling very uncomfortable, having to scratch a different itch every few seconds. It's impossible to relax with this going on. I am having more success becoming lucid within a dream, and going back into a dream after waking u...

Re: Should I Lucid Dream ???

My lucid dreams have been enjoyable experiences, so yes, I say you should have lucid dreams. If you are worried about your OCD, well, it might actually help you practice techniques that can induce lucid dreams.
