Re: It's just too frightening ...

Hey Leon! Hmm, how many times have you had a successful lucid dream so far? I'd like more details about your lucid dreams :) Perhaps the next time you enter a lucid dream, you slow down a little and observe your surrounding after doing a reality check. Remind yourself that it's all just a dream and ...

Re: Too scared?

Sleep paralysis is something a lot of beginners fear when they start practicing lucid dreaming. Sleep paralysis is simply your body turning the "safety switch" on during your REM cycle so that you don't start acting out your dreams. I've experienced this lots of times but really, it's not ...

Re: On Dream Incubation & Recalling Intention

I am not the most experienced lucid dreamer, and this happens to me often when I am not fully-fully lucid, especially DILDs. Most of the times, as soon as I realize I'm dreaming, I would perform a reality check and immediately jump out the window without another thought, then the dream would continu...

Re: New here, new to Lucid dreaming, need help

Hi TimPo ^^ It's great you took interest in lucid dreaming! I forget the term used for this but the example was to try to push the fingers of one of your hands through the palm of the other hand. This is called a reality check (ha-my name c:) It's one of the essential 'skills' you need to constantly...

Re: Reality check did not work in dream world!

Finger pushing sometimes does not work for me as well, but plugging your nose to check if you can breathe or not is guaranteed to work all the time. Also, looking at your hands have always worked for me c:

Re: Please help me!

It took me three months for my first real lucid dream c: Some people achieve it on the first day, or after few weeks, or even years. Just be patient and don't give up :)

Re: Rare Vivid Nightmares

I don't recall anything terrible happening before that dream. I had a couple of stressful moments and things, but I really am not certain what caused me to suddenly have a nightmare that I rarely get. Stress leads to nightmares like this? I've had bad dreams related to what I'm stressed about, but t...

Re: Hints to Dreaming

Firstly, I moved to Alaska recently , I gotta say that's awesome :) Always wanted to go to Alaska. So are you somewhat new to lucid dreaming? Having dreams about lucid dream happens very often among beginners and is a sign that you are close to your real, stunning lucid dream. I'm not very knowledge...

Rare Vivid Nightmares

I haven't been achieving LDs for few days or weeks now, and last night, I had a very long and vivid nightmare which I rarely get. I'm aware nightmares often occurs when emotionally unstable or stressed or anything around those lines, but I can't quite seem to figure out why I got such a long nightma...

Re: Creating a DC Lover

previously I heard you cannot create someone you haven't seen in a real life

I think it's that the people you see in your non-lucid dreams (DCs you didn't create on your own) are people you've seen in real life :) There's no limit when it comes to creating things in LD
