Re: Precog dreams & hoping to understand further..

You're not alone. I had these Deja Vus when I was around that age as well (6-7 years), but my constant thought of being perceived as "insane" made me supress it, and it stopped. I've spent some time studying the occults and spirituality, and although I prefer to "trust" cold-hard...

Re: Well, here's what not to do

Indeed.
I've been having "rollercoaster" dreams since that. Pretty sure it's the episode being recalled.

Well, here's what not to do

1. Overdose on caffeine and a bit of alchohol, which will have you run around and stay awake all night - perhaps even up to 36 hours. But hey, as a beginner, the next time you get some sleep you'll remember three wild dreams, hooray! (No, seriously; don't do it. Lesson learned.) Edit: Adding... 2. G...

Re: The Illusion of Free Will?

I think for anyone who's scared of the "determined" principle, you should reflect on the theory behind the science. Just because we might find determinism as 'truth' now, doesn't mean it's the truth. Who knows, in 10 years someone might've falsified this theory/argument. Which is why, it's...

Re: The Illusion of Free Will?

I've now read the whole thread. I didn't expect it to turn into something that looks like an academic paper, but I might just have to stay for the bettering of my english by forcing me (*cough* my urge) to use a dictionary. :D You pretty much got the gist. The argument for determinism is obvious, re...

Re: The Illusion of Free Will?

Without reading through the comments (although I might sometime because I'm a sucker for these kind of topics), I voted no. My reason's seen from a socological perspective, that a person's will's been determined by the cause of other people's actions (also words) - your upbringing, surroundings, hab...

Re: Dream places you want to visit

The goal is to put my fragmented images into words about my beliefs and values among other things. So a dream place of mine is outside the universe, travelling with another person who can guide me and tell me the meaning of life and its existence... :geek:

I'll share once that happens. ;)

Re: Halloween Topic(ish)

When people are having nightmares they don't realise that they're dreaming at first though. So you'll most likely have to be unaware at first and then somehow realise that you're dreaming, before it gets to the point that you wake up. I guess that's the only way to question them as well. They're usu...

Another normal abnormal European gal saying hello.

Last year, after I woke up from having a wild dream about running from a huge fireball at the kindergarten I attended looong time ago, I thought: " Okay, I should buy a notebook and write these crazy dreams down just for the hell of it ." And I did. I was very serious about it for a few mo...
